New build - Ceiling and wall cracks/board lines

Is it a timber frame house? If so they are less prone to wall cracks during the settling period. Some houses are affected more than others.
I've been in my new build for almost two years, however it's not timber frame but block and brick. There has only been the odd thumb sized patch of paint chipping off the ceilings.
My developer repairs and amend these defects promptly.0 -
Got a reply from Persimmong, basically outside of their 2 year warranty so not an issue they will resolve.
Would getting the ceiling scimmed resolve the issue? As I am planning on decorating the house soon, ideally don't want to just paint over as I get a feeling that won't change anything.
All popped screws have been resolved, so no further issues there.0 -
I would investigate if the joints were ever scrimmed, because it sounds like they may not have been.
I'm unsure what the procedure would be if you find no scrim tape at the joints. i.e. whether you could just add it on top and skim again. I've always done mine straight onto the boards. After all, it costs about £2 a room and 10 mins labour.0
