I tried to get the gillette sets today, DISASTER, they had been informed about the glitch. The girl at the till knew that they were going through wrong and scanned two as normal and then put the third one through as 0.00 meaning the came to £19.9? (can't remember the odd). How very dissapointing!! I might give it ago on saturday then the weekend staff are in.0

Unfortunately the offer is only on until including Thursday.0 -

Also, in my store they were on a separate cardboard stand, not with the other male toiletry gift packs0 -

I had a similar cream from Biotherm with Zest voucher when this offer was on before, got mine from Meadowhall Boots. Biotherm have counters in some larger Boots, if you go to the Biotherm website you can find which stores they sell in.0 -

The only other option I can think of is if you can buy what you want, but keep the receipt and if the machine "ever" gets sorted this side of Christmas, take your stuff back and buy it again using your points.
If only the High Street Branch, had the two machines like they used to, a few years back. There was always queue's at both, so the demand was certainly there. It would take the strain off the single machine, resulting in happier customers (like us).
As for the Ferry Branch, maybe they don't think folks down that end would use an Advantage Card with it being "affluent area" it's supposed to be.
Lochee has no machine either, although a much smaller store, it's always pretty busy and could do with one too.
Maybe we should write to customer services and request one in both stores? Any other fellow Dundonians want to join in ? (You folks with more than one machine in a store are so so lucky!!!!)
PS the No 7 lady is lovely and great when it comes to the glitches, and always seems genuinely happy when you find one, so different to others experiences on here with the No 7 ladies.
Well I have emailed customer services (I'm rubbish at complaining on the phone!) and said how ridiculous I think it is that there is only 1 machine for the whole of Dundee! (150,000 people, wonder how many have advantage cards?) And asked if they can manually add them to my account, so we shall see.
Unfortunately I just can't afford to buy the present and then do the swap later, as I mentioned I lost a bag of presents so with thet and the lack of advanatge card points, I'd have to spend £50 more than I intended to on this years presents - £50 I just don't have! Sorry that sounds like sucha sob story, LOL it's not really, I just have a budget and I can't afford to blow it because of a) my own stupiity (or someone's thieving ways, still not sure I "lost" the bag of presents) and b) Boots incompetance.
God, I'm such a moany cow today! Will get Mum to try for the Gilette glitch to try and cheer me up a bit.
It was a No.7 young(ish) girl i spoke to on Sund (with nblond bobbed hair). She seemd very nice, I do remember last Christmas my firend and I were shopping. my friend bought some hairdryer and we were stood discussing points and the No.7 lady (older wityh dark curly hair) told my friend she had £30 in point on her card so could have paid for the heirdryer with points. My friend asked if she could do it, so the woman said "of course!" and cancelled the sale. However when she reswiped the hairdryer to refund it, it came up as £5 more than it had when she swiped it as a purchase!
She tried 3 times, and was really happy to let my friend keep the extra £5 and also pay for the item in points! So my friend left Boots with £5 cash and a hairdryer! LOL LOVE the No.7 woman!0 -
Hi. I was in Lancaster today trying to find the gilletes. I am not sure which one it is. Is it in a box or a cardboard wrap or is it in a toiletry bag. Thanks in advance0

Been to EIGHT stores - no joy! One store knew about the glitch, and told me they'd all been pulled off the shelves until the tills were fixed!~*Cerenia*~

Hi, just wanted to say thanks for all the tips on here, I've been 'lurking' a bit but haven't posted here yet.
Glitch on the Gilette worked at Sheffield-Heeley Retail Park (Chesterfield Road), SA didn't even notice really! I was all ready with an excuse not to buy them though.
The store has only 2 packs left now though - i asked a SA if they had any more in the store room and she said 'Oh, they've been really popular today' - No kidding!!!
Also lots of 17 GWP here too, as the High Street Sheffield one is completely out of them.0
