Have checked the registration. Names and address are correct.
Can the debt recovery firm keep adding more charges to the 170£ each.
Also can I ask re the second PCN. I can't even find it on the website. NCP haven't answered that in the email but I will call them tomorrow to confirm this and why we can't see details on the website.0 -
Apologies another quick query.
Should I draft separate email to dataprotection@ncp.co.uk for the 2 PCNs0 -
I would not be phoning anybody, that is a NO NO
never phone a parking company or a debt collector etc, letters only with free proof of posting , keep a paper trail going
use the contact us for the DPO of the people you are dealing with to use the SAR to get PAPER records of what you seek, including NCP , or email if that works
I told you to do this SAR 2 weeks ago !!!
IGNORE the debt collectors
to answer your question, the numbers are irrelevant at this stage, they could add a grand and it would make no difference to any final bill
if you owe any money at all, a judge will tell you how much is to be paid, in a judgment
I am not convinced that you understand this "game" you are a part of , YET !! but you will , believe me !!!
so do not telephone anyone and IGNORE the debt collectors0 -
Thanks. No phone it is.
We are going for a mortgage and am worried if this will have an impact on the credit rating?
I am attaching a draft of the email I was going to send. Any help is appreciated. This all is very new to me and scary. Or should I send it in post ( I read somewhere that I should not send it by recorded delivery not sure why?)
dataprotection@ncp.co.uk
Dear Data protection team
I have recently received 2 PCNs, LUxxxx and Z………
I am requesting you to kindly forward me all the evidence regarding the PCNS including any NTKs issued, PCN documents, communications, pictures of signs , landowner contracts, pictures or image of the car concerned and driver and any other communication that has been recorded with regards to the PCNs.
I have received communication from the debt collecting firms regarding the above and these were the first communication sent to me.
I would be grateful if you could send these at the earliest.

start with the email option, see the GDPR 2018 FIGHTBACK thread by coupon mad on SAR advice
if necessary, you can post it but get a free CERT OF POSTING from the PO Counter if sending ANY letters to anyone in this saga (but try email first , or the DPO contact on their site)
there is no such thing as RECORDED DELIVERY, its been SIGNED FOR delivery for years , but no you do not use this method, or SPECIAL DELIVERY either
why ? because they can refuse to sign or its an unmanned PO BOX and nobody to sign for it , therefore all you will have proven is that it WAS NOT SIGNED FOR, ie:- undelivered
plus its a waste of your money !!
this will currently not , repeat NOT impact your credit rating and not impact any mortgage application either
clearly you have not researched this civil court claim system , even though it is covered in the NEWBIES FAQ thread
put simply, if any of these pcn,s goes to court, plus you lose in court, you pay up , IN FULL (as Martin says a lot) , within one month and there will be no CCJ and no impact on any credit rating
I am worried that the sky will fall in tomorrow , or the world would end in 2012 like the Mayans said, but it wont and it didnt
stick to what you know, or what you can find out, but stick to facts, not supposition and fiction, its easier for all of us that way0 -
Thanks.
I will email and then take it from there.
My wife wanted to pay up and get it over with. This kept us awake for the whole night esp after we received the 2nd one!
I just feel this is unfair esp when we have paid. Even if one of us made the mistake of putting the wrong VRN, which we can't be sure off, it is money paid with intent to pay! and no malice!0 -
we agree, its a sc@m that some MP,s are determined to stamp out - eventually
https://services.parliament.uk/bills/2017-19/parkingcodeofpractice.html
perhaps you can and should complain to your local MP and get them to support Sir Greg Knight ?
dont lose any sleep over it, its not like you committed treason or any criminal offence, leave the losing sleep to the pedos and crims who deserve to be punished0 -

Hi
I have received another letter from one of the debt collectors saying that they had previously sent a letter and now are following on this. Next course of action is to pass the account to QDR solicitors ltd. If this remains unpaid then court fees and solicitors cost could be added to the amount owed.
Meanwhile I had asked for the SAR as suggested and have not had any response.
What should I do next?
Thanks0 -
Nothing.
Neither the debt collector letters nor QDR (who are also acting as debt collectors, not in a legal capacity) matter. You can check for peace of mind, each time you get a letter, by searching the forum to see other people in your shoes.
Advanced search for the keyword QDR and SHOW RESULTS AS POSTS. Lots of results to read.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Otherwise, wait patiently for a response to your SAR.0
