Whats the best time and day to begin and end and selling items please?

I've done that from both sides (buying and selling) and it's different every time, no pattern to it at all. With selling there's so many factors to take into consideration that you can never always be right, weather, something in the news, important sports match, etc. If it was an exact science it wouldn't be as much fun.

Talking of market research, Tesco, who are opening stores in the US have had some executives living with families and monitoring their buying habits to see which is the best to sell. So the original question to ask is not when the best time to sell is, but when is the best time to buy?

I tend to go for any time between 7pm and 9.30pm but not Fridays and Saturdays as that seems to be when people go out. Also I wouldn't end a listing on a Saturday day time for the same reason.

I list on a Thursday around 7pm for a 10 day listing (finishing a week Sunday at the same time). That way, you get two weekends of viewing - and at times you get 1p listings on a Thursday - Bonus!!
