PCM parking within a restricted area

Hi there, couldn’t see anything about parking within a restricted area. My girlfriend received a parking charge in the post. She had stopped next to a sign for 4 minutes (the photo evidence shows her lights on). However, she was stopped half in a bay but wasn’t causing any obstruction. Would this be appealable?
Thanks in advance.

You need to read the NEWBIES FAQ sticky, post #1 to know how to deal with this. We can't give you a miracle silver bullet from a few sentences.

Read through it (it's not a skim read, you need to settle down, look at links, make notes, intellectualise it all) then if you need anything further clarifying, come back for more guidance.

Coming back having not put your shift into this isn't going going to be your easy option. The more you understand this, the more you're likely to dodge paying the PPC £100.

    Hi Bananass, welcome.

You are best advised not to reveal the driver's identity at this time.

Perhaps you post would be better written as:

Please edit your post along those lines.

Was this perhaps at an airport?

Please now read the NEWBIES FAQ sticky thread to discover more about the game you are now caught up in.
  • Thank you for the quick response.
I’ve had a good read through the thread you mentioned. I just couldn’t find anything specific about parking within a restricted area. It’s a little unclear as to whether the process applies to all forms of parking charges?

Did you miss this in post #1 on that thread?...
Q - ''I have read the NEWBIES thread but cannot find anything specific to my case...my case is different''.

A - NO IT ISN'T. YOU DO NOT NEED SPECIFICS. FORGET THE DETAIL, MOST CASES ARE ALL THE SAME.

Did she read what the sign said?

This is becoming an essential part of parking on private land, because if you don't, you open yourself (your gf) to a parasite looking to take you (or her) for £100.

Start learning how to read things very carefully - by reading what experts here on MSE have provided for you.

I spent a good while reading through that post specifically looking for “parking within a restricted area”.
Since you’ve pointed out that very first point I’ll go through and have another read!

Please just read what it says, and forget the detail.
