The reference of the letter is ‘driving without due care and attention’ but it then goes on to say be careful next time.

So to me that suggests I was driving without due care but not bad enough for charge? So it’s either is or isn’t. If it isn’t, why put it there in the first place.

Because you were careless, you riding fell below the standard expected of a competent rider. You crashed.

You could have been driving without due care and not be charged, not every identified crime results in a prosecution. If there's been an accident that is dealt with via insurance it's often not in the public interest for Police to get any more involved.

My mother was always getting these letters. Her driving was bloody awful, but not bad enough to warrant prosecution.
I used to think that good grammar is important, but now I know that good wine is importanter.

If you had an accident/incident it is in your insurance terms and conditions that you have to report it to your ins. Company

You risk cancellation and voids of future
    Policies for non disclosure.
make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
