Unfortunately, I don’t have any proof of Gambado’s manager sending the email. I don’t even remember if I went back to them. I didn’t treat the case seriously. I really thought it was only formality and they would cancel it.0

You can still defend this. Have you contacted the other poster by pm urgently?PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Hi. I sent him PM but has not come back to me. I understand that at this stage I respond to Gladstones by sending them a letter similar to the one in the newbie thread. Is it ok to send it by email only or should I send hard signed copy? Also, I do have an email receipt/confirmation of that party that I paid for in Gambado. It does have my partner’s name though. It just proves that I was a genuine customer. However, I wonder whether it is worth it to include that or would it name the driver?0

Please don't use a template reply; I particularly hate them as replies to LBCs.
Write your own and say what you know, what the position was, and that you know they have lost court cases at this site, based on the fact that the Gambado business granted authority to its patrons to park and there was no legitimate interest in penalising families visiting it.PRIVATE 'PCN'? Check the Gambado website for the wording confirming the same. Also ask Gemini to provide a copy of their authority to show there were exceptions [Gambado] to the general rule on that site. The earlier you raise the exceptions question, the sooner they will drop it or suffer costs. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. Right...so I sent an email to the managing director at Gambado last week explaining him the issue. I hope he responds quickly. Basically I wanted to make him aware how his customers are treated at that site and to explain what sort of agreements they have with Gemini.
I just want to clarify. Is it ok to respond to Gladstones (asking for extra information about the claim and adding all the points you all raised above) just by email? I found three different emails to Gladstones on this forum:
Litigation@gladstonessolicitors.co.uk
Administration@gladstonessolicitors.co.uk
Enquires@gladstonessolicitors.co.uk
I know that I should Cc to myself as a proof.0 -
Hi
Haven’t been here for a while but life is busy. I did sent my reply in November to Letter Before Claim and requested more information plus added the email receipt of th e Gambado party that we booked. They sent me an email with some of my questions clarified and a bundle of photos showing the site and the signs all over it circled in red plus the copies of original PCN being sent in 2017. The sign does state 2 hours free parking. However, outside the businesses there are signs saying 2 hours free parking and below there is information that if you intend to stay beyond the 2 hours Free Parking you must enter your vehicle registration onto the touch screen pad located at reception each time you visit. Clearly I did not read the sign carefully as we were busy unloading things for the party. Also, nobody reminded us about it when checking in which I think should be a normal procedure as you do know your customers would extend 2 hours for sure. My point is that the parking company also realises that some customers will extend those hours and gives them opportunity to stay longer without additional charges. In this case I really don’t understand why should I pay this parking charge if I was a genuine customer (and I proved it to them) who simply didn’t enter the vehicle registration on the pad.0 -
Yes, we agree, and that's why the example defences in the NEWBIES thread include one all about this scenario.

Thanks Coupon-Mad. Just a quick question. I didn’t post the Reply Form last time and need to do it now. If I tick the box that I dispute the debt could I put as a reason what I wrote above attaching the very same photo they sent me plus the Gambado party receipt again?0

No need to send that Reply Form.0
