P4Parking Scotland text message

P four started to send me letters. Since they misspelled my name I decided to ignore them.
However, now they started to text me on an unregistered pay as you go number. Which is super creepy and might be a GDPR violation?
Has there anything recently changed in the law in Scotland?

I have no idea how they got my phone number!
So I was wondering if anybody else ever received texts from them?
And if that is a GDPR violation?0 -
We are not DPA/GDPR experts, so you might want to try one of the other MSE sub forums. And if that is a GDPR violation? Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

As mentioned in the first post, on all their correspondence they have my name wrong!
I do get the occasional PPI spam on that number, but usually cold phishing without knowing my name.0 -
Like I said, that number is traceable to you. Either on Social Media or because your Bank/credit card or similar firm has put it on your credit record, visible to any company doing a 'soft trace/search' like in the link I gave you.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

This didn't even occurred to me. So when I checked I found out it isn't.
So obviously I will get this sorted asap.
Does thus change my defence in any way?0
