  • Thanks Nelski for letting us know about Holly, I hope they can restart her medication if they are sending her home. Really good news that it had not spread.

I have had the result of the X Ray I had on Wednesday, I have osteoporosis.......have to go for a scan now to see how bad it is.......still does not explain about the pain in my back though.

Feeling a bit rough today, not sure if its the antibiotics, will persevere with them, they have not affected me before.

My eldest daughter has just sent me a message to say she has been made redundant. She has been working for the company for 33 years, however she has been out and got herself another job. She did not say what it was. Guess I will find out eventually.

Still bitter although the sun is out OH is pottering in the garden, will be getting him in shortly.

Hi everyone, not posted for a few days. Real life is tiring, tedious and energy zapping. Mother still in hospital (thank goodness) but will need to move out soon, in the meantime family wading through treacle with paperwork, trying to speak with solicitor, social worker, etc, add in the effort by us (5 offspring) to visit as much as possible so that she doesn't get too down and worried about it all. My Dsis is having a couple of days break, well deserved and I have been trying to take up some of the slack visiting. Absolutely cream crackered and OH and I seem to be ships passing.........

On the upside, the sun is shining again, Mother was not badly injured and all the family are pulling together:D:D:D Oh and I am getting used to driving in the dark again:eek:

Hugs and caring vibes to Holly, taff, Polly, Dumpling, TA, OL, SO and sincere apologies to all that I have missed to mention.

  • Wee Midgie, thanks for the information about the Instant Pot :)
  • Back again -

Organza_Lace - hope the car gets properly sorted out for 'Grump' this time (crossed-fingers smiley).
csarina - sorry to hear that you've been diagnosed as having Osteoporosis - hope the bone density scan gives you some reassurance. I was diagnosed as having Osteopaenia (the 'one before' Osteoporosis') when I got the diagnosis about Coeliac - body hadn't been absorbing Calcium/Iron etc for many years :(.
maddiemay - hoping that all goes smoothly for your DM. Maybe you and your OH need to schedule yourselves a 'date night (or day)' - and beggar everything else for that time ;)!

Had a good time on the Tenant Inspector visit - checking out the condition of three blocks of flats in the next town. Able to point out quite a few problem-areas - so feeling rather 'chuffed with myself' ;)!

Got a phone call from DS2 - would I have DGS5 tonight for an 'overnighter'. He's actually a lovely little boy, Bobby (nicknamed 'The Bobster' aged 2) - just doesn't sleep very well .

I've got plans to go to a 'Free From Food Fair' in Liverpool tomorrow and Sunday - but might now just go to it on Sunday only. I doubt very much if Bobby would be interested :rotfl:.

Hi chums history was great fun and we had some gorgeous HM mango and lime sponge cake We are so lucky our history tutor's hobby is baking so we always have a lovely cake on a Friday afternoon Her new baby grandson was there so I got to give him a big cuddle for awhile as well win-win.

Tonight its got quite chilly, so its feet up and throw over my knees and a bit of TV and knitting for me I think

Have a good evening chums what ever you are doing enjoy it

    Hi all :)

Been so manic (and a little bit rubbish) round here. Dad gave us a little scare being very confused etc (he's 90 on NYE) turns out another prostate infection so anti bios and all sorted again phew! Then MIL had to be referred as she has a lump in her neck - she's had it for years but bloods suggested the big C. After thinking there may be secondaries etc turns out it is benign! She has to have it out but we are all so relieved.

Work a continual PITA - two workaholics and little old me isn't working. I had my MS Nurse appointment today with the head nurse and she's ready to write to yell "back off" (!) . I stopped her but I've had to promise to ease back a bit. I'm honestly not that bad MS wise but I do tire easier than I used to and it was pretty evident today after a 13 hour day yesterday

Holly - I'm so glad no more ops and thank you Nelski for the updates.

TA - your bird table sounds lovely and I'm so glad Bob had the best send off.

Hester- I hope CHS is progressing.

Right OH out on call so need to make the most of hogging the telly - hugs to all x
  • Nelski thank you for the update
I was jumping to conclusions and one of them jumped back
