Job issues - How can i move on?

We did not send children to prison. You were not a kid. You were an adult and made choices. Nobody is judging what you did. They are judging your current attitude, which is entitled. You asked for advice. That's the advice. Your aren't owed anything. As long as you come across as thinking you are, then you will struggle with employment.
Appreciate your input, I dont mean to come across with an attitude just trying to state my points i do apologise im a little upset after today as you can imagine being knocked back isnt nice especially when you are trying to do the right thing.0 -
Quite. Last Christmas I purchased, from Amazon, an extremely expensive piece of tech. It was delivered. I signed for it. Unfortunately for the thieving driver who swore blind to all of this, I had CCTV that not only showed it to be a total lie, but that the entire of my street was under six feet of snow at the time and nobody was going anywhere in or out. Even with that I spent a week arguing with Amazon to get it replaced and as a result I never use them any more. I wonder how many "delivered" items that driver had clocked up.... Just one high end item a week is a nice bonus.
Like i stated all vans are camera and tracked so i dont see this being an issue. And i hardly want to steal someones lamb or veg
its a groceries delivery job, the most expensive thing on there would be cigarettes/alcohol in which would be accounted for a number of times0 -
So speak to NACRO. There are literally hundreds of initiatives across the country that work with ex offenders to support them into work. It may not be glamourous work, but it's a start. I know plenty of people who've done far worse crimes than you who are working. But they had to make the effort. It doesn't fall into your lap.0

Timpsons employ ex offenders. Look at their website.0

Ive got more than 1 child now, And another on the way.
I dont wish to claim benifits, I did when i was released but they sent me to a recruitment company who was supposed to help me. Even they said i was " unemployable "
I can’t believe some of the unhelpful advice you’ve been given on here. So many people clearly don’t know what they’re talking about. Clearly the help you need is to stop having children before you have enough money to look after them. Right now you can afford 0 children and you have at least 3...0 -
Unfortunately as you say your conviction will never be spent - under the rehabilitation of offenders act, inprisonment of 48 months or means the conviction as I say will never be spent.
That’s not to say you won’t be successful it’s just going to be harder and take more effort.
If you are asked about unspent criminal convictions then legally you are required to declare however also if you are not asked you are not obliged to declare.
Try to avoid jobs that require a DBS check.
Make employers aware of how you have addressed the issues leading to the offending, also show you are prepared to move on, do a course, done training and organise voluntary work,
Nacro and unlock are full of info.0 -

Go away0 -
Meh. Women baffle me at times!
Well that's on their head then, as long as you comply you shouldn't be penalised.
The links provided by others here. And to a lesser extent my input (still think you should get more info from police about the spent/unspent info).
If you are GENUINE about wanting to change then you'll always find people who are willing to help, even people who are skeptical or people who investigate your fraudulent activities.
Well, it can be a bit of a trial signing on. I'll give you that. But bear in mind that ULTIMATELY it is YOUR mistake here; you should probably be in a decent job right now with your smarts, but you chose the life of crime. Going to take a while to get back to where you should be.
Sort of throwing the kitchen sink at you with this question, but have you declared that income to HMRC? You may not be liable to pay tax, but if you are then they would be interested to know what you've been up to in the last few years...
I didn't say it would be possible, I said it would be worth a try; like I said you're competing with people who are at least equally as smart as you BUT WITH NO CONVICTIONS. Having first-hand experience is not always more important than the inherent intelligence of being able to uncover frauds... bear in mind that the people involved in uncovering your fraud in 2010 *very likely* had a clean history and some decent university qualifications.
There does need to be *some* give from companies (not strictly the "big" ones) but there has to be a hell of a lot more *give* from you!
I appreciate all your replies to each comment, No i didnt declare anything to HMRC wasnt much to declare ( If i could run a legit business i actually would ) But i dont want handouts from the benefit system 1. thats too easy and 2. its alot of hassle applying for jobs i wouldnt actually like doing and want to do, Making my life miserable.
I am genuine and i am looking forward, The only way i would get a job doing what i know best is if i had a friend of a friend or someone who was involved with some big company who needs people such as myself, thats the foot in the door.0
