If its only a year, is the interest bearing part relevant? AIUI interest rates in the EZ are even lower than here anyway, so just focus on opening a Euro account.0

I am a UK citizen and set up a KBC current account with no difficulty - it is not interest bearing, but I’m pretty sure there is a linked savings account that I could open with them if I wished to - worth a look, they’re very user friendly!0

Are you sure? All the savings accounts I can see on their website say something like:KBC wrote:This product is open to ROI Residents only, or Irish Citizens residing in certain jurisdictions. Please contact us for further information if you are an Irish citizen not resident within the Republic of Ireland.0
