If you dispute the debt and have a valid reason to set aside, then that could be done.

Court papers are sent out in normal post usually, not signed for, or delivered in person, or signed with a wax seal. So it can be papers were sent but not received. That it was for a truncated version of your name won't help. It does seem you can dispute it on the fact there was no debt, can you prove it?0
