  • Good afternoon one & all :)

Nannywindow, is it OK if I get off the naughty step now? please, please :D

Sending copious, gentle (((HUGS))) to everyone but especially Holly, Polly, TA, -taff, OL, Speky’s gran, nmlc’s Steve & CHS. Apologies if I have missed anyone :o

DH & DSis sorted out the front garden yesterday & I dropped off a bag at the CS & did a bit of shopping including a bunch of flowers & a box of fancy biscuits for DSis’s birthday today.
Today, I retrieved the 2 cards & package that I had hidden away when they were delivered, made DSis a cup of tea & gave her the flowers, biscuits & card. It was nice to surprise her as she thought nobody had remembered :D She was most surprised to get a card from our DB - probably the 1st time ever :rotfl: DSis has had a nice relaxing day - long soak, bacon sarnie for lunch & cooking sausages, onions, mash, mixed veg & gravy for her birthday dinner.
DH has been busy tidying his garage, repairing the rest of the garden furniture prior to oiling & storage. Cutting up one of the pumpkins for me to season & roast prior to turning into soup :T
I have been keeping busy in the kitchen & doing a bit of tidying.
The weather has not been conducive to doing work in the garden :(

Enough from me - enjoy your evenings

Evening all and my what busy bee's you have all been today .its cats and dogs at the moment ,but I had a nice lunch with DGD Holly and a smashing afternoon watching Bohemian Rhapsody and the great music of Queen.

Took me back to the mid-1980s when Live Aid was on, and how tough life was back then. My late OH had just finished contract work in the Sudan and had been out of work for several months, and then broke his ankle badly and I was working three jobs a day to keep us all afloat but I can remember watching bits of the Live Aid concert that he had taped for me, can't believe it was 32 years ago.
I remember it being a blistering hot day : )
A really good film and both DGD and I enjoyed it and she is 25 :), but she said what a good movie .

Still full up from lunch so it will probably be something light later on,at the moment I am full up so I am just having a cuppa and will put my feet up for awhile and knit a few more of the baby balls .Down to doing 5 more left now, so the end is in sight I will have knitted 120 of them by the time I have finished, but have earned around £200 towards next years holiday.

Hope everyone is home and warm and in the dry its a awful night out there

    Take care chums

    JackieO xx
