e2save / OSPS - are they that bad?

Idiot In Charge. Substitute Imbecile if you think it's better. It's all on the thread I suggested to you originally. funny thing is someone found the other day they'd copied one of my posts and put it on their own forum, pretending to answer me! It mentioned the IIC for the first time (with his proper name) which I found odd. They DID neglect to say anythign about so doing on here though, changed my name on their and pretended to answer - by getting everyone to call their 0845 number for hours on end to get the usual b/s. It's all on that thread too! And quite a few people who, like you, used the company again thinking all was fine have been communicating with me now the problems have started - albeit the ones I hadn't forseen!
No, it was actually the other way round. OSPS stole the so-called "price-match" t&c, E2Save immediately took them too, someone who worked from them (an INIC) came on here and said they were "price-matching" Onestopphoneshop (neglecting to mention they were both divisions of cpw and neither were actually "matching" anyone's deals), THEN Onestopphoneshop was closed down, many staff sacked - soon after the IIC moved from them to take over at E2Save. Next... they sent the external cashback processors off into the sunset and redirected all E2Save claims to another part of the old Onestopphoneshop (NOW simply E2Save with an new logo). However, the t&c they now both use are not the same as either used before. With me so far? Perhaps you might like to read what's been going on with the E2Save Problem thread (also on page one here right now - last page/entry a few minutes ago), the Virgin Sim thread and others. Now it's complete choas. They are starting to backtrack on their recent cashback claim denials for those who actually wouldn't stand for it - God know what happened to the rest (history, I suspect).
Actually I still use them - got another deal recently for my sister's friend (second I've got for her) - BUT as I said; things are very different and likely to get even worse pretty soon before they (may) improve, so you really have to know what you're doing. If/when they mess me around I know what to do - and will. They have pushed their limits with me, but many on here (and not!) are in for some nasty shocks. Some have had some minor ones already, but I say again - the main event is about to kick off methinks!
When pushed I would still pick cpw over other - mainly because I know them and their little ways and because they aren't going to disappear (one of your concerns) etc. I also advise people not to go for any cashback deal now unless they really know what's going on. You do have some experience so that will help; just make sure you understand exactly what they're doing, where it differs from the t&c you have just read (but not, methinks really understood in their entirety!) and make sure you cover yourself. The thing I have been expecting if I am correct - really can't see how I'm not on this one unless they change course at the last minute again- is that there are going to shortly be a LOT of really angry people who receive letters telling them they have claimed incorrectly and therefore forfeited ALL their cashback - even THOUGH they HAVE actually followed the written t&c. That won't be my issue - or that of the people whose contracts I look after - but it must be for a LOT of others.0
