What is the consumer act and how is changing prices against it?0

I must admit to being baffled by this headline. Who has Martin reported Argos to? What was the outcome?
When have they hiked prices before?
I really don't understand the post below the headline either. Are shops not allowed to put prices up? If not how does inflation exist?
I'm really confused by this.0 -

Presumably this: 'MSE reports Argos to advertising watchdog over 3for2 toy sale'.
The outcome is here: 'ASA Ruling on Argos Ltd'. And the MSE article about the out come here: 'Argos cleared over increase in prices before 3for2 sale - but it did make a price-labelling 'error''.
MSE's complaint wasn't uphead.0 -
Retailers are perfectly within their rights to adjust prices as they see fit.
Amazon change theirs daily - sometimes hourly - depending on market trends.
Your "complaint" seems to be "i went to buy this but the price had went up"?
Cant see that holding much water.....0 -

Thanks. That clears that up. So it's been ruled Argos are doing nothing wrong yet the op is complaining about them doing something they are fully entitled to do.
Good luck with that complaint.0 -

What coverage? the privilege of being passed from retailer to manufacturer as each ignore the Consumer Rights Act?freelancepuddle wrote: »Any Advice?
That's the current price, either buy now or wait for it to drop - or possibly rise further - your choice. There is no requirement for prices to remain stable.0 -
