OP, can I guess your surname from your forum username?
Can I have a guess at your first name please?
Dorothy? Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

I need to read up on defending in court, I'm not sure how much of a chance we would have in having the PCN's discarded. Don't want to end up paying more through not winning at court than if we paid now.
NO-ONE has lost v CEL here that I can recall, in 2 years, when they've followed our advice.
DON'T EVEN THINK ABOUT PAYING.
DRP are asking for £160 per PCN and even if the case was lost in court (how exactly??) then the sum the Defendant would be ordered to pay would be around that figure...
Come on, this will be won.
Have you searched the forum to read all the wins? Use these keywords and read them (including loads of discontinuances & wins v CEL) & smile/be confident:

Put those words into an ADVANCED SEARCH and change to 'show results as POSTS' on THIS forum only...go on!how do we go about sending a data rectification notice, and would that need to be sent to Civil Enforcement Ltd?
Find that contact detailed in CEL's website on their privacy page. Tell them to erase the OLD address and rectify it for ALL PCNs, and also take the chance to demand that if they decide to proceed to court, they MUST only file one single claim, or it will be an abuse of process.PRIVATE 'PCN'? I would suggest you remove any information from your posts suggesting the driver may have done something wrong. Never admit to anything.
You have done this several times and the scammers read these fora. If they do try court, you wouldn't want them quoting such an admission.
If they try separate court cases in order to garner more money, you can ask for all of them to be heard as one, especially since they all pertain to the same location.I married my cousin. We've picked another letter up this evening and now have a claim form from the county court. The claim form is for a single fine, not all of them.
*We didn't notify CEL of our new address as we didn't want them to take it as a response*
Have we got a chance of winning this, as it is a few fines and not just one?
The form says if we disagree with the claim then to send a completed acknowledgement of service form or a defence form to the court within 14 days of the date of service. If we send the acknowledgement of service we have to send a defence to the court to arrive no later than 28 days from the date if service.
Who do I need to contact to inform them of our correct address? The form does have a section to dull in for the address to which documents about the claim should be sent.
PLEASE HELP!! We have absolutely no idea what we are doing. I'd be very grateful.0 -
What is the Issue Date on your Claim Form?
Did it come from the County Court Business Centre in Northampton, or from somewhere else?0 -
The issue date is 25th Feb 2019 and yes it is from the County Court Business Centre.0

You send a Data Rectification Notice to the DPO of the PPC, which you will normally find on the privacy page of the web site of the PPC.0
-
So if I send an email to CEL addressed to their DPO would that be sufficient?0
