No.
What I'm saying is that people shouldn't be surprised when their own unkindness comes back and bites them on the bum.0 -
Just had our first knock at the door.
False alarm. Tesco home delivery. Phew!0 -
Why bother - what is there to gain by being mean? Why not just post a note on your door "No Trick or Treaters"? Why go to the trouble of making toffee onions just to get some sort of twisted kick?
Hang on! I thought trick or treating is part of the fun that we are all supposed to be having.
Toffee onion: trick.
Toffee apple: treat.

It makes me so sad to say but I don't have any trick or treaters at my house. I live in East London and hardly any children around let alone those that will actually go out. I really miss them! The last few years I have had sweets ready but OH reminded me that I end up eating them by 9pm cause nobody comes around lol0

It isn't even 6pm yet and here is a message on a local board lol.
Honestly you can’t have anything and do anything nice can you??? My son is almost 15 so trick or treating isnt his thing but I’ve decorated the house for the little ones. Unfortunately I have very barky dogs so outside I made a little table with candies, pumpkins and skulls. Sign up saying happy Halloween but please don’t knock and help yourself to “a” treat. First lot were about 3 teenage boys who nicked the f****** lot!! Ran off when I saw them thro the door laughing. I know it’s only a few sweets and a laugh to you but now everyone loses out to pure greed!! Hope it gives u all rotten teeth and diabetes you little s***s!!!!0 -
Had a knock 5.30, 6 younger kids at the door in costumes and 2 Mums at the end of the drive keeping watch. I don't have a pumpkin out and not going out of my way to decorate anything but I do have sweets ready and pleased they enjoyed their visit.0

I give small bags of Haribo and cheap sweets from Aldi. My son went trick-or-treating too. It's fun, let's enjoy it.0

Another post of the harmless fun of locallers on Halloween round here. This one by Thames Valley Police;
Hoping the parents of the children on Edinburgh Playing Fields are very proud of their teenagers who are firing fireworks at the PCSOs and a 4 year old girl and her Mum.0
