    Hello all, I'm back !
It was very busy at the dentists and then the dentist took ages to sort my tooth out, but she did a great job. The only down side was the price .
I met Mr Fix It in Tes*o as he went for a coffee while waiting for me. I did my bit of shopping then after lunch we went to DD's to wish DGD happy birthday and to taste her birthday cake  ...... my favourite - a chocolate caterpillar cake :D I think DGD was happy with her gifts which mostly consisted of L.O.L. stuff :j. (Seems a lot of money for a tiny doll and a lot of wrapping :( but it was what she wanted )

Tea tonight will be curry and rice, sorry not HM but a la Tes*o.
Nelski Thank you for putting a dinner up for me but just be glad that I didn't turn up and have the extra mushy peas. They, coupled with my stomach meds, would have started a chain reaction that no one would have liked :o :rotfl:. I'm pleased that you are having a great time with your friends. Please send Holly my love when you next speak.
Gers My SiL is the same with milk. Hope you had a less stressful day today.
    SilverOldie special hugs for you.
Speky well done on the new flat. That was super quick work :T.
RosyRed I'm also a Waspi woman, but Mr Fix It and I have reasonable private pensions, so we took early retirement because of his health situation.
Mehefin I would be annoyed too. We are supposed to be in a smoke free zone but some people don't seem to understand / care what that means, i.e.NO BONFIRES .
Organza Lace the chocolate here doesn't taste the same as it used to either :( Oh well I'll just have to keep trying it for scientific research purposes :rotfl:Hope you find your headphones.
LameWolf we go through at least 16 pints plus a week ( 2 of us ), it may be cheaper to buy a cow
Hester trust you to have "those" type of parties ;). Makes you wonder how the lady in question got home commando style :rotfl:.

Righty ho I shall have to go and popty ping our tea :D. Epic OS fail ! I shall hang my head in shame :p
Take care and hugs to all today.
Dumpling snap about the cow, sorry cross posted with you xx
Failure is simply the opportunity to begin again, but this time more intelligently
  • I don't normally post but I wanted to say to Dumpling PLEASE see someone in the medical profession, you need professional health care. Perhaps you could ask the surgery to send a district nurse to assess you if you are unable to leave home.

Just posting to second what candlelight said. Dumpling your GP is aware of your issues and you should ask for a call out. Make sure you tell them exactly what the problem is.

Dumpling I'm afraid I'm going to get on your case, too. You need to get your legs looked at by the doctor. Either get them to come to you, or screw up all your courage and get a trusted friend, or maybe Steve, to take you along to the surgery. Whatever works best - but please don't just "grin and bear it". Pretty please?
If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)
  • As above dear Dumpling, that needs attention
I was jumping to conclusions and one of them jumped back

Sorted my password (old age getting to me) so:

Love to TA, things will gradually feel a bit more normal, in the meantime rant on here if you need to, it does help

Flights booked for 14th Nov., returning on 23rd......OH is really fond of his sister who lives in Connecticut, she has been diagnosed recently with dementia, so I decided to take him to see her while they can still have a normal chat and enjoy each others company. We will stay with his brother and his wife in Boston.

Its been a beautiful day here today, cold but very pleasant. We did some shopping this morning, then had lunch with DGS2 and brought him to his Mam... he is on mid term this week.

Have an appointment with my doctor tomorrow, as I need to renew my prescriptions before I go to the US. As I have had a bad cough for weeks my family are screaming that I should have a flu injection..... Will discuss it with doc.

Take care of yourselves and stay warm.

    Marie
