Anyway, you can see that you are now able to post live links now, your first photobucket link shows this, so perhaps you can change the other links back to live links.

Im sorry to hear that, I didnt have permission to upload jpegs so needed to load photos to a free hosting site.

I have just trawled through those pics and would like to point out that on one of the letters:
1) your name appears as Dear Mr R.......,
2) the PCN number is visible on the Payment slip, and
3) the vehicle reg. no. is visible on the Payment Slip.

signs at first entering or leaving the car park. However, none when past the booth. The driver was concentrating on getting in the car park and watching out for other cars/pedestrains so didn’t notice them. You do need to keep your eyes on the road I suppose! Once parking – no signs/pay machines to be seen, hence the driver thought it was free.

So you need to embed the images in your word document (not links, not separate uploads, just actual photo images illustrating your point about signs) but ONLY use those photos that support your case about the booth which is where a driver usually slows to a stop and turns their head to pay the man who is normally there.

And show images that show there are no signs/PDT machines at all in view either.

Do not show POPLA the other photos.

1) Is there a law which says that there needs to be a sign every x metres or something like that? Ie have Britannia broken the law by not having signs in the parking area?

If not then it seems that the only thing I could get them on is if popla think 'they should really' as opposed to 'they have to', have signs once past the booth.

2) Do you think they are any other points I could get them on?

3) Is it a strong enough arguement alone to risk the £60 going upto £100 if the appeal fails?

4) What are your thoughts?

No, it is a scam. Counsils levy lesser penalties for similar offences.

They lose most of them, and have been reported to the regulatory authority by an
M.P. for unprofessional conduct

and complain in the most robust terms to your MP. With a fair wind they will be out of business by Christmas.

I suggest you remove the first para of that post from this forum. This is for the PPC to prove, not you to think you have no chance.

1) So (if Im correct) your advice is to send the appeal via popla which I have posted above, including the bit about no signs/machines when past the booth. And a word document with photos for only this area and no others.

Yes, go for it.

Same as all other cases when POPLA is lost, or it's an IPC firm with no POPLA, or if a person misses POPLA stage. You sit tight unless they try a small claim then defend it there, and we win 99% of cases (no risk, no CCJ).
