Who rattled your cage? I was responding to a post and used the same terminology (which did not include the word 'several', so you're just making stuff up).

Yup. I know. :) I've no grumble about Mozilla. What I'm trying to establish is if there's another browser out there that can be used with an XP machine and is continuing to be updated.

According to https://www.makeuseof.com/tag/browser-secure-old-windows-xp-system/ 'maxthon' was still fully supported on XP a year ago. I know nothing about this browser. I can't immediately tell from their site whether that's still the case.

Because firefox is open source, in principle a third party could still be building newer versions for XP. A quick search didn't reveal any such unofficial distributions. I don't know the code, and therefore whether XP was dropped because they wanted to take advantage of libraries not available on XP.
  • Please change os not browser.

XP is junk now, in fact it's dangerous junk. Change to another o/s.

(I'm bored) I too regularly run Win 10 for days without a reboot. Hibernate just...works. After a week, or two, I find it does a full restart but I can handle that.

Windows 10 is a bloated mess. I'd much rather use XP -- Microsoft's best OS to date. :-)

Windows 10 is light and quick - MS best OS to date, taking all the good parts from previous operating systems

XP was good for the day but now is full of irreperable holes
  • I do not understand why you dont want to upgrade considering they have stopped support for windows xp and even windows 7 will loose support in 2020 but you can try uc web browser which is built on older version of chrome when i tried loading timbu it displayed differently on uc browser and showed properly on chrome, except that you are good and it get regular update

"Advanced Chrome" might be one guy's mission to build latest chrome on XP : http://browser.taokaizen.com/ No idea what his motives are. (Definitely wouldn't be trusting such a browser for shopping / banking...)

Ah - not quite. Looks like "latest build" is not XP, and is just his local hacks to stock chrome. But his "custom build" based on older releases may still be actively maintained for XP.
