We’ve had an eye out for a freezer (we don’t have one). We’ve had a shortlist and have been waiting for sales etc, but they just haven’t come down in the sales throughout the year. Checked again yesterday and one that was £209 was reduced down to £159. So I’ve ordered it (comes on Wednesday). Hopefully it will mean we can make better use of the yellow sticker bargains and I’ll be able to batch cook again! Yay!

Hoping it will pay off in the long run.

Managed to declutter some old New Scientist Magazines. Didn’t get anything for them but it stops them going to landfill or needing to be recycled and means they aren’t in my house anymore! :D

    Hi,

Just catching up on your diary. Sounds like you are doing really well at sorting your finances and definitely have some good goals. May think about the 20 things in 2020 myself.

Good news on the freezer, will definitely help with batch cooking which I am starting to get into... So much easier when it comes to preparing an evening meal. Batch lady on fb is really good if you haven't seen it. I have an American fridge freezer so always thought I had no space to batch cook, how wrong was I.

So I appear to have forked out another £50 today on a 5 x 5 kallax. Considering it’s £150 new and what they go for on the selling sites I was pretty chuffed with this. :D Although it does mean we’ve forked our over £200 more than expected on top of normal living expenses. :(

It also came with 4 inserts as well, 4 cupboards and 2 sets of drawers. Again these are quite expensive new, so can’t complain too much.

Decluttering and found £9 in vouchers! Woo hoo!

    And £5 cash! Winner! :D

Managed to declutter 6 bags of stuff and about 5 boxes. A very successful day in that sense. Also found some lovely thick gloves and clothing that we are going to pass on to some homeless people we see regularly.

Eek it’s breakdown renewal time. Who are you with? I’ve been doing the AA/RAC shuffle via Cashback sites for so long I’ve never really considered the others.

I’ve finally fixed my login issues with Shoppix and ZIPZERO, so I will start back with them again now.

DS2 has been ill most of the weekend, so little progress has been made around the house this weekend. It’s been a hunker down and survive type affair.

The freezer appears to be aiding with the shopping bill, or at least it’s going to next month. We’ve been buying extra bits and bobs to put in it this month whenever we see anything going cheap.
