Good morning chums and a sad day ahead for our friend Mrs TA but I hope all will go as peaceful as possible and I have her in my thoughts today.
Had a good day up at Hatfield with DGS Jack and he was so pleased and surprised that we had taken his g/f Olivia with us We went out to lunch in a pub at St Albans's called The Snug and it was lovely. He enjoyed his box of Millies cookies we made for him as well
Journey home was loooong as there was an awful lot of traffic but we got home safe 'n' sound
Today is going to be a pottering and resting day with my DGS Mikey's finished painting the fence so that's all done now for the winter. His Mum was pretty pleased with him.
Probably sit and knit and watch a movie with the boys later today I must sort out what I am going to buy/make for Christmas presents as that will soon be looming up on the horizon
Hope you all have a good day and our Holly is pain-free

Morning ((((((((((hugs)))))))))) if you need one.
Thoughts and prayers today with Travelling Abudla and her family as they say their farewells to Bob.
Another bright morning, no frost, we arrear to have had some rain overnight. Both showered and in decent clothes rather than the old stuff we slop about the house in. We are off to see my quilting friend for the visit I had to put off two weeks ago, third time lucky?
Finished another bag yesterday and have a small tree wall hanging fused need to layer it up before I quilt it. I will then have to do an audit of the sales box and see what else I might need to make.
fish and chips tonight, probably banana split for dessert, I got a couple of bananas from Aldi yesterday.0 -
Morning all,
Thinking of TA and family today as they celebrate Bob's life.
I've been a bit off colour lately and I'm on antibiotics this week. The HT and I managed a trip to Liverpool on Wednesday though for a mooch round his favourite shops (sci-fi) and a pizza lunch. We took the car though - it's expensive to park but I wasn't up to public transport.
Today I'm hoping to finish knitting a cardigan that has been sat around half finished for about 18 months. I knitted one sleeve Monday/Tuesday and I've nearly finished the other one. I'm also gathering things around the house to declutter via ebay. This is making my bedroom look a bit untidy just now but hopefully it will be worth it in the long run. I also need to make some cakes for a birthday party that we're going to tomorrow. I make mini cupcakes which are much more child friendly than the usual huge ones.
I hope Holly is managing Ok and Gers I have my fingers crossed that the doctor can help your mum feel better.
Take care all of you0 -

Morning all from Mehefinland
Hugs and spoons to those in need.
Not posted for a while as mundacity has hit hard . However Scoobymare will have shoe put back on again!! today after yet another abcess. I am getting very adept at poulticing and bandaging if anyone has a poorly hoof:D
Lainey did you ever get your hay delivery. Its in very short supply this year around here ( and expensive). Mind you this nicer autumn weather has delayed the farmers locally putting the stock in the barns, so perhaps it will pan out.
DS just shot off to work for a shutdown. A late start and a later finish , although he says they will feed them. Its all about deep cleaning a clean room ( I think).
Did anyone watch Emerdale 1918. I thought it was an excellent tribute and very moving.
Bye for now

Morning all.
I've not had the best start to today. Slept heavily last night and woke with a sore throat, runny nose and tickly cough. Then pulled out the milk for a cuppa to find it had leaked . So I have cleaned the fridge, the floor and put my milk soaked dressing gown in the WM, but I am unable to put it out as it's started to rain. It will have to be draped over the airer upstairs unless we put the heating on later as it's supposed to get much colder
.
Mr Fix It is in his shed, tidying up before he replaces some of the flooring. He put his foot through part of it last week .
The DW has been emptied and refilled with yesterday's tea plates as I was shattered after Dad and DGD went home. DGD has gone to school today as it's the last day before half term starts, but we are on speed dial if she falls ill again. I have to put away all the toys, board games and craft stuff. The paint pots are still soaking too, so they have to be cleaned and returned to the crafting area. ( Ok... it's a large bookcase in DD's old room :rotfl: )
I need to do a Friday Tidy and a Wednesday Wipe Round as it looks like a tornado has ripped through every room in the house .
Enough procrastinating I must get off my behind and at least show some willing. I'll start with the toys I think they're the easiest, just throw then back in the box and carry it upstairs :rotfl:.
Gers I hope the GP can help with your Mum's weight loss.
MaddieM sorry that your Mum is having problems. Hugs to you and your family at this difficult time.
Nelski Enjoy the time with your Canadian friends :T.
-taff You are not aloneI don't know what day it is either.... constantly :rotfl:
Speky Hope your Manchester trip with Mum goes well. Exciting times eh ?
Holly hope you are on the road to recovery. Take care of yourself lovely.
TA I am thinking of you all as you celebrate Bob's life. May all your memories be happy ones today. Hugs xx
Hope everyone has a good Friday. Hugs to all today.
