Unlit entrance signs, unlit signs on the walls.
Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...

  • OK, I visited the car park in question tonight. Here are the signs.
Very small writing. Can hardly read until I am standing very close to them.
Also, the signs are partially obscured by metal posts on the entrance, so not prominent in my opinion.
    What do you all think?

  • One sign says the car park is for authorized vehicles only.
The sign by the entrance says for authorized vehicles and customers only.

What is an authorised vehicle? It hasn’t been defined on the sign so am I right in assuming the sign is not compliant withbregulations?

    Thank you

I think I'd rather not try to stand on my head to read them!
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

  • Lol.
Unfortunately, that's just the way the hosting company wants to display them.
I did make sure they were all correct side up. Not sure why it's displaying them like this...

IMO, the charge of £100 on the sign is insufficiently prominent to form a contract. Read this

    https://www.manchestereveningnews.co.uk/news/greater-manchester-news/motorist-wins-18-month-ticket-battle-870812

and the ATA code of practice re signage.

This is an entirely unregulated industry which is scamming the public with inflated claims for minor breaches of contracts for alleged parking offences, aided and abetted by a handful of low-rent solicitors.

Parking Eye, CPM, Smart, and another company have already been named and shamed, as has Gladstones Solicitors, and BW Legal, (these two law firms take hundreds of these cases to court Hospital car parks and residential complex tickets have been especially mentioned.

The problem has become so rampant that MPs have agreed to enact a Bill to regulate these scammers. Watch the video of the Second Reading in the House of Commons recently

and complain in the most robust terms to your MP. With a fair wind they will be out of business by Christmas.
each year). They lose most of them, and have been reported to the regulatory authority by an M.P. for unprofessional conduct

All well & good, but the case can be won on no hirer liability. Umkomaas told you what to do in post #3:

There's no way this shower will have all their 'hirer' ducks in a row. Very winnable at POPLA.
