Collect Plus, how do i pay?

Hi all,
After my recent not so good selling experience on Ebay, I decided to try it again and I sold a pair of boots (yippee).
Has anyone used Collect Plus? I'm thinking to use them to send but wondering how I pay? Can I just take the item in wrapped as I would do and pay the Collect Plus shop? All I've found on their website is that it talks about buying a label...which confused me.
I know all the CP parcels are tracked but does getting a signature guarantee anything more? As I wouldn't want the postie to leave it 'safe' then the buyer to say 'it's not received', which I'm wondering is that a possibility if a signature isn't requested by me?
Any tips to protect myself appreciated. TIA.

If I can be blunt please I think perhaps you needed to have done a little more research before selling. Have a look at the sticky postage thread first about signature/tracking requirements, a signature is not needed for instance on an item under a certain amount (£750 from memory but I'm sure the regulars will correct me if I'm wrong).
As for collectplus you need to buy the label online and then either arrange for it to be collected or drop it off. Make sure you watch the size as well as the weight. There is now an option to buy your label online and then pay an extra 30p to print it in store, I'm not sure if that is available in all stores so you will need to check.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. What postal method did you have on your listing? Some buyers will not like it if you've stated Royal Mail (for example) and then send it via courier. The time to do your research is before you list an item.0 -
I had it listed as collection only and someone made me an offer if I can post them and they said they cover postage which I thought was fair enough. So I said I would accept, I just need to find out how much etc for postage. It is within the sizes and weights, thank you.
I would be looking to buy the 30p printing service for the label and then buying the other label they talk about, which now I understand is the CP postage service, not actually a label.
I'll just have a look at the postage sticky now...thanks.0 -

What other label?
You buy postage, either print label at home or pay 30p to have it printed in store and they take your parcel- there is a diagram line here that shows it even clearer https://www.collectplus.co.uk/send-a-parcel
I don't know what you mean by the other label?
I assume the item is not restricted on Collect plus, couriers have long lists of exceptions , plus make sure you have enough insurance, I think there standard cover is £50 but you would need to check that before you buy the label in case you need to increase it.

Thanks Soolin, sorry for the confusion. On the CP website it says
Step 1. Buy your parcel label
Step 2. Print the label at home or in the store.
I was getting confused as I thought the parcel label in step 1 was 30p if you chose to print the address details etc in store. Then I thought the store printed off the postage label after you pay the store.
But realise now in step 1 the parcel label = postage and the address label combined. Sorry for the confusion...I realise there is only one actual label.
It is all very technical, just trying to keep up with it all.
Thanks for the info too about restricted items, good to know. I'm safe on that as it's a pair of boots I'm sending.0
