Hi, I'm looking at doing some self employed work acting as a host for a dog business that offers home boarding. How do I declare this money to the tax man?

Register as self employed , they will get you to do a tax return

You'll also need a licence from the local authority if you're boarding people's dogs, even if it's a private dwelling. You have to pay a fee for this. I believe the legislation is changing this month when new animal welfare regulations come into force.

Yep you need to register as self employed but also you need a licence as per the above posts.

You only need to register as self-employed if you earn more than £1000 in a tax year.
