  • @Beamerguy, just to clarify that the £60 was not awarded to Britannia, but the judge didn't agree that the case should be thrown out because of this. I can't say why, he didn't give a reasoning.
Your experience tells us that in future Bournemouth is a no go court and as Southampton is just up the road, that is the court to use

I do very much wish all the events in Southampton had happened before I declared my preferred court, it would have been absolutely no problem for me to travel. I even work there over at the University, so if questioned about the choice I could always have given that as reasoning.

Thank you all for the kind words. I must admit I put off updating you all with the results for a little while (the hearing was on the 8th) due to disappointment/embarrassment, but I decided I would be doing the people on here a disservice by not reporting my experience.
VCS v Crutchley I think, or VCS v Ward (both truly AWFUL decisions).

I think it was the Crutchley case, from memory, but I need to rescue my ringbinder from where it lies abandoned in exasperation in the car boot in order to confirm. I should get it, I imagine I'll find shredding Britannia's WS quite satisfying...

Anyway, I'm sure I will stick around to help others, especially if more cases come up from that car park. Though I've visited a few times in 2019 to get the right pictures, and nowadays the car park is more or less abandoned. It seems Britannia might have carved themselves quite the reputation at that car park!

Refresh me please, what was the name of the car park ? and where
  • It was Quayside car park at Poole Quay.
  • Hi everyone, hope you’re well.

Sorry for resurrecting a resolved thread, but I had a question about payment. I’ve finally had a letter from BW asking to pay (I was starting to think that I’d have to chase them in order to pay!), but they’re still asking for the “full amount” of £265.32. They’re also saying that it needs to be paid by 1st of Feb and then ask the court to cancel the CCJ.

I’m guessing I just ignore this and go by what the letter from the court says (5th Feb), but would I still need to contact the court with proof of payment?

If the court letter says less was to be paid (remind us?) then pay less, and certainly confirm to the court that the payment has been made. Don't post a cheque, takes too long and if they are slow to cash it then it could end up logged by them as 'paid' a day or two late and you have your credit ruined.

Don't delay it. DO NOT wait till the date on the court letter. Too dangerous.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

The court has told you to pay £200 BWLegal have to accept the ruling

Use a credit/debit card for immediate payment of £200

BWLegal has no authority to over rule the court
