PCN photos entering leaving car park

Hi, I’ve just read the thread about not disclosing who the driver was. Unfortunately I appealed the PCN (online) the same day that the letter arrived. This was 13 days ago and have heard nothing back. I’ve tried calling them twice but there was no answer... I’m guessing that they make money from expensive phone numbers (I did limit myself on time)

I’m really annoyed as I did actually pay (more than required as I didn’t have the correct change!) but unfortunately I cannot find the receipt! There is a chance I may have entered the reg number incorrectly (I am dyslexic and have baby brain)

What should my next step be? The phone line says that the reduced 14 day rate will still be valid if an appeal was made in the 14 day period. But I feel I shouldn’t have a PCN anyway as I paid!

Any help would be gratefully received.

Many thanks

    STOP CALLING THEM!

Would you phone a Nigerian solicitor that wants £4000 to release the funds from the will of an uncle you never knew?
  • Thank you Ralph-y I am making my way through the Newbie post, it’s hard work with 2 small children running around...

The car park was run by Smart parking above a retail complex. It was a new payment method, but not sure if it’s a new company taken over or just upgraded the system...

Thanks for taking the time to reply!
  • I definitely will now I’ve found this advice. Thank you!

Smart have 35 days to respond to any appeal, so slow down. You won't be paying them any money so stop panicking and looking at the '14 days' rubbish deadline.

I really wish you had not appealed up front, so sad when people throw away the 100% winning position that they had as registered keeper by blabbing about who was driving...did you?

...and no you are not stuffed it you did, but promise us NEVER to do that again!

What happened when you complained to the retailer? Loads are cancelled that way, which the NEWBIES thread tells you.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
