POPLA Appeal - Parking Eye

Morning All,
my wife received a PCN from Parking Eye which we have appealed on the grounds of POFA and them not identifying the driver. My PCN is what you have coined the 'Golden Ticket'
I have got the POPLA ref and want to get the appeal with them up and running asap.
I have got the template from one of the other forum users who appealed only on the 2 points made above (and succeeded) so I'm going to go down that route.
I have a couple of questions about the POPLA website.
1) What category do I use for appealing, is it 'OTHER' - the 4 main categories don't really cover what I am appealing
2) The character count on the reason for my appeal is 2000 characters, the template I am using has over 2500 characters, is it ok write up my reasoning in a word document and attach to the appeal, with a very brief description in the 'reasoning' box but then referring out to the attachment?
I'll keep you updated as to the outcome
cheers
Stew

Post #3 of the NEWBIES FAQ sticky thread offers comprehensive guidance on PoPLA appeals.
Amongst lots of other very useful stuff you would've found:These then get saved as PDFs and uploaded to POPLA under OTHER (ONLY) - do not think you only have 2000 characters in some box on the POPLA wepage!
The whole point of that NEWBIES thread is to avoid having to answer the same questions over and over again.0 -
I've read the newbies page, obviously missed that bit, ...but thanks for clarifying0

Succesfully appealed with POPLA
Dear xxxxx xxxxxx
Thank you for submitting your parking charge Appeal to POPLA.
An Appeal has been opened with the reference xxxxxxxxxx
Parking Eye Ltd have told us they do not wish to contest the Appeal. This means that your Appeal is successful and you do not need to pay the parking charge.
Yours sincerely
POPLA Team
ET6116/001
And a response from Parking Eye, telling us we should follow the parking terms and conditions even though they have dropped the charge.....well boohoo.0
