    Pretty much.

  • I've got Michelin Pilot Sport 4S's on mine, great tyre, I'll be getting them again when they need changing. I had Goodyear Eagle F1A2's before these which was also a good tyre. I haven't tried the regular PS4's, but I'd imagine they're not too dissimilar to mine, so I'd probably go with them.

But your comments about the Bridgestones being better in the wet goes against many tyre tests I have read.

    .

Thank you for the links. They are quite exhaustive and have gone into the details of the various parameters of Tyre performance. I agree from that list it definitely looks Michelin Pilot sport 4s is the clear winner. In my case though, I can only have 'Run-Flats', and the only version from Michelin is the Pilot sport 3 that I can put on my car without violating manufacture's recommendation. I could have gone with Michelin, but i will definitely try it when I change my front tires.

Rubbish. You can put non-RFs on, and the ride will improve. You'll just lose the "limp-up-the-road-a-bit" in the event of a flat.

Haha Yes I agree, M cars, Aplinas have non RFT as standard. I may need to check with insurer and the dealership before I decide to make a switch.

    Yes and No Adrian.

Yes you could fit non Run-Flats and carry a Spacesaver or a Mobility Kit to cover the eventuality of punctures.

But No (or not necessarily) to improving the ride/handling/comfort - I would rather say perhaps improving the ride.

The 1st generation of run-flats were truly awful - especially the very common Bridgestone Potenza RE050A which possibly put many people off runflats for ever.

The current 3rd generation of RFs are only some 3% stiffer in the side wall than conventional tyres so most people cannot detect any/much difference between RFs and non RFs these days.

I have a pair of Chinese Runways at the back of my car. The car handles exceptionally well but I hazard a guess that it will handle even better with a proper set of tyres like Michelin. In this case I am not sure whether the budget Runways are just that good or its the car itself

I thought you started a thread about how awful the handling was with the cheap tyres, in that you could barely make it round roundabouts?

    P.S. Please stop.

Bob, take a telegram. "To Mr. C. Chaplin, Sennet Studios, Hollywood, California. Congrats stop. Have found only person in world less funny than you stop. Name: Baldrick stop. Signed, E. Blackadder stop". Oh, and put a P.S.: "Please, please, please... stop."
