However it appears Costo may sell neither.
Costco does Michelin CrossClimate at a pretty decent price0 -

Mich certainly do them in that size, so I'd imagine Costco can order them.Inner_Zone wrote: »Must be well hidden, I can't find them or a price.

Can't find them on Costo's website, no doubt they can be ordered.0 -
My car is of a different brand but has the same tyre size on its front axle. It came with Continental from the factory, but since then I have changed them to Bridgestone. My recommendation would be Bridgestone over continental as the wet grip on S001 are better than that on Continental.
If you live somewhere it snows, then Michelin cross-climate is a good option. But I do not have experience using them.
Cheers!0 -
I have a 4x4 winter vehicle so don't need cross-climate type tyre.
Thanks for input folks.Don’t be a can’t, be a can.0 -

The Bridgestones are an Ultra High Performance Summer tyre in the same category as the Op's current Michelin Pilot Sport 4 s
But your comments about the Bridgestones being better in the wet goes against many tyre tests I have read.
Here is an example 6th out of 8 tyres tested:
http://www.tyrereviews.co.uk/Article/2018-Auto-Bild-20-inch-UHP-Tyre-Test.htm
and here 6th out of 7 tyres tested:
http://www.tyrereviews.co.uk/Article/2015-Sport-Auto-235-35-R19-UHP-Tyre-Test.htm
and again here 9th out of 10 tyres tested:
http://www.tyrereviews.co.uk/Article/2014-EVO-Max-Performance-Summer-Tyre-Test.htm
In every test the Bridgestones are slates as being poor in the wet and having long braking distances.
I would agree as I had to throw off a set of Bridgestones well before they were worn out due to harshness, noise and being poor in the wet.
I replaced them with ContiSport Contact 5s - so, so much better.
Obviously not like your experience.
I would suggest that the Op sticks with the Michelin Pilot Sport 4s which get good reviews.0 -
All-season tyres and winter tyres give better grip than summer tyres - especially high-performance ones - on all wintery conditions, including cold dry tarmac up to about 7degC.I have a 4x4 winter vehicle so don't need cross-climate type tyre.
So unless you're putting your Golf away until spring...0 -
