Hi all. I aiten't dead, just RL seems to be a mite overwhelming lately.
WeeMidgie I opted for rechargeable hearing aids from $pecs*vers. Not cheap by a long chalk, but oh, the relief of not having the battery give out at the most inconvenient moments!
We've been Mishka-proofing the bungalow, ready for the one-year-old, very inquisitive Siberian Husky who is due to arrive for her holiday in just under half an hour.If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
Afternoon folks.
It's not so nice here today and there's the promise of Artic air coming in from Friday. I'm getting logs in each time I go out.
My DM has been panicking since yesterday - she had an appointment for the Eye Dept this afternoon. Late last night she noticed that she'd got the date / time wrong as it was changed by the hospital (I think) to 9a.m today.. Being 100 miles away the only thing I could do was call the hospital first thing this morning and cancel her appointment. Her new one is February 2019 so I'll phone up each week to see if there's a cancellation.
My morning group was lovely, they had an assessment to do which kept them very quiet and industrious for the whole two hours. Now I've got a load of marking to do before the weekend, it's all on a system called Blackboard which I find clumsy and clunky so I'll download them and print out.
I'm glad to hear news of Holly and from TA. :heartpuls0 -

Hi LW, that's the way my thinking's going too. The last time I tried hearing aids, the darn things were so small and the battery compartment difficult to open... when I saw recently that you can just recharge the whole aid now, I thought that'll do nicely.
I'm also going to look at blue tooth options, esp for a microphone in crowded places. Something like the Roger pen. If I'm going to invest a significant amount of money, I should be investing in the best equipment. We'll see how it goes!0
