Washing machine out of warranty advice

Hi!

Just looking for some advice on any rights I may have please.
I bought a Samsung washing machine in June 2014 for £638. For that price I expected it to last longer than 4 years! It has become very noisy when spinning & a local repair man advised that the drum bearings have gone just by turning the drum. He advised that he wouldn’t repair it as it’s a huge costly job. I spoke to Samsung who put me in touch with their service centre. For £39 a chap came out to inspect & he advised the same as the previous chap.....it’s the drum bearings. I have just had a quote for the repair which is £414!! That seems ridiculous! Do I have any rights? The original warranty was only 2 years. Surely a quality machine shouldn’t need a full drum replacement after only 4 years? We are a family of 3 & the machine is used only around 3 times a week ok average if that. It’s a big 9kg drum so I tend to do fewer larger washes. Thanks in advance for any advise or information in experience of this kind of situation.
