Paying £25 for the privilege of being able to hand over a gift to some thoughtless person who is supposed to be a friend? Not for me
Where I come from there is a derogatory term used to describe what people expecting expensive gifts or all expenses paid junkets are doing and it is "poncing." That's what too many of these baby showers and hen/stag dos have turned into, a large scale poncing fest.0 -
Do you really need to ask??
Is this really considered a worthy Money Moral Dilemma????
Spend whatever you are happy to spend.
And what 'friend'' puts her guests in the position of having to pay £25 to attend their baby shower?? Are you sure you even want to go?
Cheaper to post her an appropriate gift voucher!0 -

If I was expected to pay to get into a party I was invited to, I wouldn't go - I didn't pick the venue, so why should I pay? Just take a gift to their house later0

25 quid to get in, then a gift on top - I don't think so! As others have said, don't go, but pop round and see the baby with a small gift once they're home.0

Why the hell is a baby shower being held in a theme park?
Every theme park I have ever been to has signs advising pregnant women not to go on the rides0
