Tesco Deals holiday - how?

I have only ever bought RAC, and jewellery through deals before, and would like to have a family holiday courtesy of Mr. T.

We would like to travel from Teeside airport to Dublin, Ireland, about August 2008 for 1 week or so.

Is it possible to use deals to travel anywhere you want? or is there only certain locations/airports they will let you use?

How do I work out how many Tesco vouchers I will need for a family of 4?

Is there anything extra I would have to pay for(i.e. taxes), or would it all be included in the Tesco deal price?

Could I use Deals for car hire when we got there?

How far in advance woukd I have to exchange vouchers to deals?

Sorry for all the noob questions, but I don't have a clue how to go about this.

Holidays you are limited to Virgin, Cosmos, and some cruise companies, Siblu etc I would suggest you look on the deals page of the Tesco website and see if anything takes your fancy....

  • Whenever I have looked into this I have not been able to find a particularly good deal - you have to pay full brochure price (which I have never done).

With car rental, by the time I had added on extra insurance (which if I remember the tesco vouchers dont cover), I would have ended up paying out more in cash than an equivalent car hire from a cheaper car hire company than Avis.

I booked my holiday to Florida earlier this year and just paid the current system price - they didn't charge full brochure price, but I'm not sure what Cosmos do.

I can't see any Ireland holidays on virgin, Cosmos, or Siblu sites, they all seem to be non-uk or further..

We wanted to fly over, but I can only see ferrys.

Cosmos charged me the online price when I booked in August to go to Egypt at Christmas.

First I swapped my Tesco vouchers into Deals vouchers (see website) for Virgin Hols.

Once I had the vouchers I had to book on their phone line (I'm not aware you can do it online). I made the booking and paid the deposit in cash (by card) and the Virgin rep then took a note of every serial number on my Deals vouchers - I then sent them off and they were credited to my Virgin Hols account within a few days.

ETA: Sorry, I didn't see in your previous post you wanted Cosmos! Sorry! I would have thought it was the same process though I don't know for sure.
