Thanks for the thread, I'm going to have to opt out this month & next as it's going to be too hard to separate out my GC spend from other budgets! This month I'm catering my son's engagement do and will be beginning Christamas spends and most of December I budget separately.
See you in 2019!0 -
First spend of my month today. £7.03 at Aldee and £7.54 at MandS. That includes naughty wine.
I will probably do a big shop tomorrow as I’m needing some basics in anyway and hope that stops me going mad in the week.Grocery challenge October: £228.28/£250.00 NSD 4 ( not completed)
Grocery challenge November : £291.65/300.00 NSD 10

Can I join? I've just worked out that over the last six months we averaged £510 a month for two adults, two teens, a dog and a cat. (although that includes toiletries and cleaning products).
I suppose just before Christmas isn't the best time to start so to keep it realistic I'll aim for £500 in November and maybe over the next few months or so can cut it down further.Debt Free: 01/01/2020

Hi I think we are going to try and stick to $300 for the month. This is quite a lot for us. But there's Thanksgiving and we will be hosting an extra 4 people for a few days. I'm looking forward to the company and the food.0

Hello all. I'm aiming for 100 per week again with a max of 433 by payday on 26th November. As usual I'm overspent in the first week but I do have big stuff that will last and a house guest for the week. Im up to 111 already.
Never finished last month lots of stuff went on so gave up counting as had other things to deal with.
My aim this month is to count properly and try some of the recipes. X

Hiya
thanks for the new thread elsiepac!
can you put me down for £250 this month please?
October was good, I was on course to come in way under budget but then a last minute weekend of a house full of teenagers meant I couldn't stretch it any further, so had to do an extra shop.
but £50 a week is quite easily doable for me, so fingers crossed
my Nov month runs 25th oct - 29th Nov .. dreaded 5 week month
good luck everyone!!

Did the weekly shop at Moggies with a list and hopefully have enough in for the next week except for a milk and fruit top up midweek. Only spent £26.82 so well chuffed, but didn’t need any big items this week.
Am trying to resist alcohol ( ie gin and tonic) and cutting out Diet Coke makes a difference as well as no cat food costs anymore.
Am out Friday and Monday nights next weekend but the eating will come from a separate budget.
Menu plan this week ( no specific day)
GF pizza and salad
Tuna spaghetti recipe from Rick Steins Long Weekends book
Beef casserole and potatoes
Chickpea curry/lentil Dahl and cauliflower rice and poppadoms
Mushroom risotto
Smoked mackerel kedgeree type thing
Lunches are h/m lentil soup, leftovers, bananas and yoghurts.
Will have pumpkin to make a spicy soup with too
Will update my sig.Grocery challenge October: £228.28/£250.00 NSD 4 ( not completed)
