Please can you put me (us) down for £200 for November, month runs 1st to 30th. Includes all food and non alcoholic drinks, though this month I'm going alcohol free anyway.
I'm doing a challenge within this month, no unnecessary packaging for the whole month. Some produce costs more with no packaging but it really is bugging me how much comes in packaging. I'm going to keep reductions in packaging to a minimum too.
£22.87/£200.

Hi everyone. Welcome to all the new folk and all the returning folk as well. :hello: It's great to see so many people participating. Today I bought a container of cheese cubes to snack on for €2.35 while at a conference all day. I'll update my sig tomorrow.

First spend of the month £12.90 on just milk and bread, all now in the freezer and there should be enough for the month.
Made a list of things I think I need, it came to just under £20 but I'm going to let it sit there until Monday and then review it before I actually go shopping. I'm trying very hard to cut back on what I spend and to use up what is already in the cupboards and freezer hence the low budget for this month.0 -
Spent £4 on cake decorating bits yesterday, but there's plenty of them left for other occasions.
Should be a NSD today - visiting a friend and straight home, no shopping detours! Got some bacon to use up, so I'm going to make a pasta sauce with it, and freeze the leftover sauce for my lunch one day next week. Got some cheap fish in the freezer, so will do that in parsley sauce (HM) for Sunday tea, will just have to defrost something different for DH.
The cupboards and freezers are groaning, so today's jobs are to do a stocktake and meal plans.

I have the same problem with freezers. I have too much in them to do an accurate stocktake and when my DH suggested I buy yet another freezer I knew I had to do something. In desperation I cleared out the small freezer in the kitchen, the one under the fridge, and went 'shopping' in the other ones for enough food to last a week. (already cooked meals, raw meat, veg, things for puddings, not forgetting bread, wraps and milk etc)
It's been my salvation, it's done away with doing a stocktake, and saved time in the long run. I plan my meals on a daily basis around what is in the small freezer (or you could use a drawer) plus fridge and cupboards.0 -
£13.78 spent today.
Vegan mince, vegan burgers, 500g red grapes, 400g onions, 160g carrot, 570g pears, yuzu seasoning sauce, 2 white miso packs, cinnamon and raisin bagels, 2 packs crispy chilli beef and 400g giraffe bloom.
I'm having vegetable stew and chickpea dumplings for dinner.
OH is having beef stir fry.
£36.65/£200.

This afternoon I asked OH to stop by a store and get some ramen noodles which came to €4.15. I want to inventory our fridge and freezer and review the Lidl and Delhaize flyers to see what I would want the following week. This week has been an odd low energy one so we're just grasping at straws and take out/delivery to muddle through.

Hi guys, family of four here with a disgraceful food bill. Last months bill around £800 I’m afraid. I would love to cut this bill a little. I’m aiming for £650. Our bill was even higher than £800 but I can’t seem to cut it more than this. So I would like to join your challenge and slash my bill! I have too picky eater children (I think I may be too soft) and a 6ft5 weightlifting/cycling daft husband. Its a bit of an uphill struggle and all advice will be gratefully received! X0
