Packing for a 4 week holiday

The longest holiday I've ever been on is 2 weeks, so not sure how much stuff to pack for 4 weeks?
We will be travelling around Australia, staying for a week in each location.
The places we have booked to stay in for each place are apartments that have a washing machine, so would I be better off just packing for a weeks holiday and washing stuff over there?
There's 3 of us going, 2 adults and 1 child, and the thought of packing up a months worth of clothes for each of us fills me with dread!

Why would you even contemplate packing a month's worth of clothes? Pack for a week and use the clothes washing facilities.0

That depends where you go. It isn't hot everywhere all the time.0 -

We're going to Australia mid December until mid January0 -
I took around 10 days worth and went travelling around oz for 7 weeks and no for a month. As there’s a few of you you can do a wash every week. It wasn’t too expensive:T:T  :beer::beer: to the lil one

Australia is a huge place with huge differences in climate. Go south and you could be cold and wet.
For example, the first time we went to Melbourne (in December), it was 12 degrees and pouring with rain. My wife had to buy a fleece. It stayed like that for a week. The following week it was 38 degrees.0 -
This is why aliens don't visit us.0

We did exactly this last Christmas, we packed for 10 days and washed as we went, but in Melbourne we needed warmer clothes than we did in the Whitsundays. So we went with layers, a few thin fleeces and a pair of full length jeans to see us through. That was enough as we got a mix of hot and colder days in Melbourne. Also, don't overdo the toiletries, you'd be surprised how little you use over a month and they have plenty of shops/supermarkets to buy them if you do run low. I would take sun lotion with you though, it's really expensive over there and you can get better deals here.0

Odd. We have found the exact opposite.
For example, a litre of the stuff for less than a fiver...
