BT Restart my BB contract when they said it would not

In sept I wanted to add the sport app for football. £4.50 was agreed for 18 months. No problems. Was only on the phone for 4 min.
Today my bill gone from £46 to £70 quid. Phone BT was told my BB was end of contract so was put on standered cost.
I’m Well annoyed, i had no warning what so ever so they put me through to another team to see what deal they could offer minus the sport app, as I have the app offer till march 2020.
Turn out whoever did my app renews my BB contract and can no longer get out as been more than 14 days. Did not even get an email confirmation that this order was processed.
So before I was paying BT BB £45.99

After the Apps was expecting it to cos me £50.49.

Now I paying £70 a month just by adding the Sport app. I written a complaints but have anyone else have this issue.
Was also told they won’t have recordings etc as I would of said no when they told me my new price. I know I ask them if this would re start my new BB contract as they tends to do this when you add stuff, but the person said no.
What else can I do?
If they put the price up before my contract end can I get out of this for free then??
No point paying to get out but wont be staying when it ends

Thansk for reading

Post is to confusing to be really sure .

Was your contract at an end . If so its up to you not the provider to keep track .

What exactly are you paying the £70 pm, for now .
It reads as a lot more service than just an app .
If you are not on a contract you can give 30 days notice.

Have you actually used the BT Contact us complaint email ??
  • Was paying £70pm for BB fibre 1. and BT Sport App.
Contract was not at end still had 6 months left.
Made a complaint and they got back to me this morning.
They did not bother listening to the call as they said why would anyone re new a contract paying £25 more than i was on, and also should not of been able to leave my contract early.
So today i had to start new 18 month again but i now get BT Fibre 2 plus, BT sport on sky box for free (HD) for 18 months at £45.99 all in.
Happy with that and the fact took less than 24 hours to sort it. I have been with them for 18 years. I don't like to change BB as i change my mum to cheaper regualy and BB always seem to go wrong.
