Sorry to hear you're not so good Nanny. It's strange that you've chipped a tooth through the night - maybe the assailant who gave Nelski a black eye a few weeks ago has visited you!!
I sympathise with you about your Dad. Sometimes there was nothing at all I could do to please my Dad, he was so difficult. Someone I worked with used to say about people like that" even if you decked their a*se with diamonds they would still complain" !!0 -
Just popping it to see how people's days have gone .............
Pleased to see that you've managed to get out today, Poppy - it's good to socialise with other people, even when it's for a funeral. I'm sure that your friend appreciated your presence and support today.

Hi everyone, I hope your day has gone well. I'm happy to say the sore throat is beginning to feel less like jaggy glass, my head's okay and I'm hoping normal service will be resumed tomorrow. I really do want to go to yoga tomorrow night if I feel well enough and if I'm past risking passing it on. What do you think?
Poppy, I hope you gained a bit of normality in being able to go and pay your respects today, and that you're not too tired.
All the best to the TAs, taff, Hester's CHS and everyone else coping with the slings and arrows of life. xxx0 -
Thanks Scarlett you are right, there are some people ( Dad ) who can't be helped no matter what you do/suggest. He still makes me feel inadequate, but that's all that he's done to me in the past and I suppose I should be used to it
. My lovely Mum would be turning in her grave if she had one  At least I have Mr Fix It and DD and her family to keep me sane ! I don't know what I would do without them and the wonderful people on here :A.
I managed to get a dentist appointment for next Tues, that's fine as I have no pain, except I'm lisping . I hope the Sandman didn't wave his wand last night and knock my tooth :rotfl:.
See you tomorrow. Love nan xxFailure is simply the opportunity to begin again, but this time more intelligently0 -
Fireworks have started  Scampi is going nuts, as are quite a few other dogs in the area. Does anyone know if Adaptil is any good? I've read it's safe for other pets (I have a gecko and was worried in case it affected him) but takes a few days to start working so I've probably left it a bit late. I didn't want to use anything like that to be honest, but he's getting so stressed I need to do something.
Ive not tried Adaptil, but we got some 'calm & relaxed' natural dog treats for Evie from pets at home, they come in a purple tube and are made by pooch and Mutt, they work wonders to relax her and are all natural, she just has two or three little biscuits when she starts to hear the bang bangs xx0
