RinGo & NCP

Hi all,
Looking for some advice. I paid to park through Ringo app on Friday. I actually took picture of the location number to double check I had correct location. When i went into the app another registration showed one I hadnt seen before (I have only ever used the app with my current car on 7 occasions and my previous card twice).
I changed the reg to my current and proceeded to payment. Paid £10.20 for parking in NCP carpark. Returned few hours later to a ticket for £100. £60 is I pay within 14 days.
The wrong registration had been listed on my app and Ringo receipt confirmed this. I honestly didnt have a clue where the registration was from until I logged into my RinGo account online and seen the registration listed - parking I had paid for over the phone 8 years ago. I didnt even drive then it was my husbands card. I only started using Ringo 2 years ago via the app so they have linked my mobile number to my account and added the registration.
I will appeal to NCP but do I really stand a chance?
Has anyone had any luck complaining to Ringo, they should ahve never added another registration on my account.

Read post #1 of the NEWBIES FAQ sticky thread.
As it is a windscreen ticket you have received you will see in there that you should wait until day 26 before sending the already written blue text template appeal.0 -
Thanks, Apologies now read newbies thread didnt see if when I first signed in.
Will look now.
To be fair, I honestly dont have the confidence to be ignoring things. I legitimately want to explain I paid for parking but wanted to know if anyone had any success with NCP, is it a case they just reject all appeals?0 -
No-one will suggest you 'ignore things'.
You seem to think that you are dealing with a fine upright company that will listen to a reasonable explanation.
You are wrong.
Have a look at this video and see what our Members of Parliament are saying about this industry:

Thank you. Ive started reading thorough newbie thread and follow on from them.
Thanks again, should have read it first. Youre right though, Im being naive to think being truthful and explaining things to them will make a difference, they make money on catching people out.0 -
Ringo do seem to suffer from problems
When you appeal to NCP ask them what happened to
the £10.20 you paid
It's not just the reg number it's the payment method
which you can prove.
NCP will have received that money, who have they credited
to ?????
It would be fraud to take your money without giving
the service, ,0 -

This is what in thinking, I can prove payment was made in my name, car also registered in my name.
Thanks to those who took time to reply.0 -

You see, scamming someone is a fine art and whilst the PPC's,
the idiot debt collectors and low life legals give it a try,
they fail as pure amateurs and can easily be beaten with
their flaws0
