Highview Parking ticket(S)

Hi All,

I'll try and keep this quick. I have received 2 parking tickets from a retail park advertising 3 hours free parking (and have another expected to arrive soon).

The car park has recently changed ownership and whilst for a year beforehand the time enforced was 5 hours (even though 3 was written on the signage) it is now strictly enforced at 3 hours. Multiple members of staff inside the shopping centre have confirmed this 5-hour limit (last year).

Is there anything specific I should be doing? I am also a student if that helps at all.

you should be reading the NEWBIES sticky thread and appealing as KEEPER using the blue text template, appeal each one separately

being a student is irrelevant, although we could say you should know how to do internet research like reading that thread for example, plus that hearsay its also irrelevant

a landowner complaint is also advised too


ps:- in future , tell the driver to read the signs wherever they park and stick to the rules, meaning if somewhere says 3 hours, assume that a further 10 minutes grace period at 3h 10 mins in total may be allowed but certainly not 2 hours overstay, otherwise it will become a very expensive lesson
