Morning chums and <<hugs >> and good vibes for CHS and H/Hester and of course our H/Harvey

Pottering morning ,probably make a vat of leek and potato soup with leeks bought the other day, weather starting to cool a little, so soup is a great warmer upper and cheap as chips to make.

History this afternoon which I always enjoy .DD and son-in-law are flying off to NYC this afternoon for their autumn trip to see DGS and his wife, they are taking along our Margaret for the trip of a lifetime for her as she hasn't seen Danny since last Christmas when he nipped home for two days to see our fighting Frank before we sadly lost him. This Christmas is going to be a tough one for her .

    right the kettle is calling
Hope everyone has a good friday

Thank you everyone for your good wishes, I'll kep you posted.

Thinking of Holly, TA and all the poorlies. Taff, I hope the chemo goes as smoothly as possible.

Speky, that's a bit of a dilemma about the flat but I think I would save myself the agents fee if possible. Laura and Brian rent out his old flat and don't use an agent, I think they advertised it on an online site. It does mean that they are contacted direct about any problems though and they had a lot of hassle sorting out damage from a leak (no from their property so they didn't have to pay but still hassle and they ended up with one of the tenants living with them for a couple of months while her bedroom and bathroom were sorted.

It seems that I no sooner stop worrying about one child than the other steps up to have their turn. Chris is really suffering at the moment and had a panic attack giving a presentation to his staff the other day. I think part of the problem is that he's been supporting Crystal through her problems and now she's happier he's allowing himself to feel his own difficulties.

Steve has gone to his accupuncture appointment and this afternoon has a hospital appointment about the lesions on his scalp, hopefully they'll be able to do something about them.

  • Morning, ((((((((((hugs)))))))))) if you need one......especially Holly, TA's and Hester.......I hope you hear from Holly Nelski and that she is coping ok.

Well OH has had his last visit from the CA this morning, we will see how he goes........I will be able to lie in a bit longer from now on. If I need to I can get them back at any time.

Sunny morning we are off into town, there is a presentation about the new distributor road round the town, lnking up two main roads we want to go to, visit Aldi and then to Sainsbugs for a fish and chip lunch, we will be home in time for OH to get his rest.

Thank you for your congrats re Ella, she and Mum came home last night. I guess DD2 will be visiting sometime today.

I did spend a bit of time in the sewing room yesterday. Will have another hour later today, want to get the mats binding sewn on so I can hand sew the binding down. I have used some spare bits to make a runner which I will finish next. I want to make a wall hinging and then will concentrate on a couple of bags, that will have to do. I am not banking on making as much as I did last year, if I sell some stuff it will be enough.

We will be having a light supper, maybe sanrnies and jelly as we are eating at lunchtime.
  • Hello, I'm late because I had another sleepless night so have been back to bed and slept through the morning. I'm off out soon, just a bit of shopping for bits and pieces.

It is very cold here but bright and clear.

Sending best wishes for TA, Holly, CHS and everyone who is unwell or worried.

Good Afternoon, everybody :hello: - very late start on here for me today, but I've been a busy bee :j!

No way that I can catch up with everybody individually today - but just want to offer ((((HUGSS)))) and Prayers for all who need/want them.

One thing I would just like to say to Speky - I really don't want to be a dampener on things, honest - but, I know that you mentioned one of your friends being interested in renting your flat, while you move to Manchester ...................... just because this is 'a friend', PLEASE don't forget to get everything in writing (Professional Rental Agreement) with all the necessary stipulations, especially regarding deposit / rent / notice / references / repairs / Landlord's (or Manager's) access visits etc. You've said a couple of things about this guy, that would perhaps give me 'alarm bells' - have you ever visited him in his current home and seen how well it's looked after by him? Maybe I've just watched too many episodes of 'Nightmare Tenants/Rogue Landlords', but ...................... :undecided .

Such a lovely day here - even a bit warmer than yesterday :j. Laundry on the line getting a bit of a blow in the sunshine and breeze :T.

Also made three portions of 'Turkey Jalfrezi Curry' for OH (using Turkey Breast pieces bought cheap in A$da PLUS a 4 portion dish of 'Gluten Free Minced Beef Lasagne' for me - I'll portion it up when it's cooled down and put into some plastic lidded containers for the freezer. This afternoon, I'll cook up the remainder of the Minced Beef into some Chilli - also for the freezer :).

Hoping that we hear some good news from all who are ill, and/or caring for others :).

Enjoy the remainder of the day, Oldstylers  :j

Another one late in clocking in. Sending hugs and healing vibes to Holly, CHS, taff, Poppy, Dumpling, Snoozer and the TA family. Great to hear good news about new baby and pregnancy.

Been a quick trip to the Friday market dropping off a heavy bagful of books to the CS on the way, another batch waiting to go next time out:D

Saw Mum yesterday, she was stronger and pleased that she had managed to get into bed on Wednesday night without assistance and also walked a little further with the physios while I was there. DSis messaged me later to say that she had needed to spell out to Mum that if she went home she would have to rely on carers maximum 4 times a day, M had conveniently forgotten that her two unofficial carers feel that the responsibility is now too much for them. When I last heard she was feeling very down about the situation, so time will tell........ I know a lot of you have already been through this, all so sad:(

I am trying to keep upbeat, my philosophy is not to get myself into a state about things that are not in my control, it works a lot of the time.

Take care all, I hope that you are having some sunny weather where you are, everything seems a little better when the sun shines.:D

  • Just took a big bag of books to the CS, maddiemay, we are twins today.

Bought soap for cleanliness and biscuits for wickedness.

    House a mess.
