Hi, on the 27th Oct 2017 The driver parked in a NCP car park in Doncaster center, when They went to pay and display they discovered that both payment machines were inoperable and in fact covered with black bin bags ( unfortunately They didn't think to take a picture at the time). They tried to find an attendant but none were present. After a short period (approx 1/2 an hour ) They drove off and thought no more of it.
This is where the story starts we were contacted by NCP stating we parked without payment and demanded payment. After visiting many forums they decided to ignore this and the following demands.
On the 16th of August 2018 we received a letter of claim from BW LEGAL which they duly also ignored.
Today on the 18th October 2018 we received a claim form from the COUNTY COURT BUISNESS CENTRE claiming the sum of £249.16 from the keeper of the car.
We intend to fight this judgement and any help regarding compiling a defence would be gratefully received.
Kind regards

The problem with NCP is that they were once a logical
parking company but now turned scammers.
They are BPA members which probably explains their
transition to being scammers
NCP for some very odd reason are attracted to BWLegal
and given the BWLegal history of failures, we wonder why ?
https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/5672664/bwlegal-the-list-of-failures-growing
What you read here will apply to NCP
That is NCP's problem but ...... £249.16 ????
Where are BWLegal dreaming up these figures from
We know BWLegal try to extort £60 on the pretence of
admin, contractual charges (and whatever they dream up)
THESE ARE FAKE DEBT COLLECTOR CHARGES
So, the charge is £100, plus £25 court fees, plus solicitors
fees of £50 and maybe some interest
This amounts to £175 and then add interest @ 8% PA
(Unsure why the courts allow 8% with the current bank rates)
Anyways ..... you can see that BWLegal are trying to extort
£60 from you for FAKE FEES and this needs to be brought to
the attention of the judge
that both payment machines were inoperable and in fact covered with black bin bags
The judge will be interested in this and NCP must prove
that the machines were in full operation
Rest assured that the courts have heard these fake
claims before, especially from BWLegal.
The courts do not take kindly to timewasters
Prove to the judge that you are right and claim your
costs0
