who to pay

Options
Hiya

I've got a pretty poor credit score and am working to resolve the key issues. I've came into some money so won't to get things sorted. I have the clear score app and it can see my caR HP, mortgage etc but I also have the following which it doesn't seem to show

I owe capital one £2k and they have cancelled my card pending legal action

I owe a couple of short terms high interest loan companies £2k or so. One of these has gone to ARC collections who constantly phone me.

Question is do these sub prime lenders actually report to credit files? Why is the capital one debt not showing? If it is not showing should I consider it a priority to pay it? Or would I be better of waiting until it goes to debt recovery and setting up a payment plan?

Has anyone ever been taken to court by the dodgy high interest lenders?

Yes, all lenders report to the credit reference agencies, regardless of their subprime or prime status. In fact, most short-term high-cost lenders like Uncle Buck; Peachy; Quick Quid etc. use MODA, which is an enhanced reporting mechanism which TransUnion (formerly CallCredit) use to provide accurate affordability details to lenders performing credit checks. The lender performing the credit check must also be a MODA participant to see a consumer's real-time information.

Capital One report to my credit file each month like clockwork. If your account is pending legal action, perhaps disabling the card and halting data reporting is their approach at this time. Without checking your credit file(s) in close detail and contacting those lenders, we cannot provide an accurate answer.
