Afternoon.

Made it! As I was waiting in the traffic queue the traffic management company opened the Rest. :j still a convoy and now traffic lights. Great timing. The drive down was lovely albeit slow.

I collected DM's new electric blanket and meds. She's not looking too well as she has a problem with her stomach. Her favourite doc hasn't got any appointments free for the next two weeks so I've booked a phone call - first free one 29 October!

Huge congrats to csarina on the new GD and to snoozer on the lovely news. I hope there's word of Holly soon and that CHS is also on the mend. Also thoughts to those undergoing chemo etc.

Hi, just popped back to see what everyone's been up to.

Olliebeak, my DH is pretty handy round the house, it's saved us a fortune over the years. He doesn't do much with the car now, prefers to pay other people to do it, but he used to. When we were young, with a young family, and had little spare money, he would be found lying on the road under the car in sometimes terrible weather trying to keep the banger going. We always had bangers then!!

_Taff was it you who said your bathroom looked as if a blind man had been let loose with a hammer, that made me laugh! Hope your chemo went all right .

Speky, Dd's pup is a KingCharles spaniel, he's about the size of a guinea pig at the moment. No pics, sorry, but he's cute.

Sorry to hear you're not well Nanny, hope you pick up a bit.

Nelski, hope you sleep better tonight, bl**dy awful when you can't sleep.

Hester, I hope the captain is still improving, thinking of you.

Looks like we're going to get another good day tomorrow - not quite as sunny as today - but warmer and with a bit of a breeze .................... definitely a day to get the washing outside on the line :j! Also got a day of batch cooking planned .
