Urgent BW Legal Claim Form

So according to the courts it was received in time but they hadn't processed it at the time (as they were working on a backlog) and removed the stay.
I have had confirmation the case has now been transferred to a local court.
I have now received an offer from the parking company to settle out of court (reduced charge). It's tempting but I have come a long way in this process and feel the settlement is far too high - I believe I have a good defence.
Also there are other people in the local area who have been making complaints about this company to the point where a big local newspaper is now covering it. Also a few years ago the company were caught out by trading standards when many complaints were recieved regarding a known fault at a machine was causing charges (not my case). Local councillors were involved and some of the disputes were settled out of court.
So my questions today are -
1. How should I resond to the settlement letter - just a short to the point response?
2. should I engage with the press and if so what should I be mindful of / can this help me.
3. Lastly, how quickly do I need to get prepared for court.0 -
If theyre willing to settle, then they arent that confident of winning!
You could respond back, rejecting their offer and offering to settle ona drop hands basis; otherwise here is your draft schedule of costs to date that you will be claiming, unclude costs for unreasonable behaviour due to ... at £19 per hour
The press is unlikely to hurt.
Does yor letter give a date for the hearing? If YES then you know EXACTLY what your deadlines are - covered entirely in post 2 of the newbies thread, which yhou MUST read and reread each time you have a question. Very good chance its covered there
If NO Then you havea few months or so.0 -
Sorry for late response - only just found out there is a meeting at the site later today. Any quick repsonses re: Q2 appreciated.0

I do not see how it can hurt

Anyone know when PPS moved from BPA to join the other lot? Cheers.0

Yes you can look the date up on the other lot's AOS lists. 2 seconds to Google!PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

I can't quite believe it but PPS has discontinued the claim less than a week before the deadline for submission of evidence. Just recieved a letter / notice from BW Legal. Going to confirm this with the court on Monday.0
