E.on Amazon Prime offer

Has anyone signed up for the new e.on deal which offers a 12 month Amazon Prime subscription. I signed up a month ago but there is no sign of an email with a code for Amazon.
I feel that this might be a bit of a rip-off from e.on but would be interested of other people's experiences.
Have tried phoning e.on but they could not trace the code even though my e.on account is showing that I am now on this Amazon tariff.

Maybe the BG could kindly move this thread to the main Energy board please?
It is not related to LPG, Heating Oil, Solid & Other Fuels, despite having been originally posted in this sub-board.Has anyone signed up for the new e.on deal which offers a 12 month Amazon Prime subscription. I signed up a month ago but there is no sign of an email with a code for Amazon.

Is this the Eon Amazon Prime Saver 3 tariff?
General opinion then was that is was poor value.
I'm not sure what region these prices refer to exactly, but they provide a good indication
The electric unit price may not be too off (for a Big 6 supplier) compared to today but the 36p per day standing charge is about 20p per day too much - there's most of your £79 annual Prime cost alone!
The gas can still be beaten today, even with recent price hikes.
The email will come from Eon's promotional partner, Grassroots. (so check your spam box)
The email should be sent within 30 days of you starting the tariff.
But if you don't want to pay the £40 per fuel early exit fees, then all you can do is follow the supplier's complaint procedure if they are not supplying what your entered into a contract for them to supply.0 -
You're right that there are better deals but my fixed term with e.on was ending and this was as good as most of e.on's other fixed term offers.0

Hello cardi11 and sorry for the late reply. Just spotted this thread.
Wavelet's advice is spot on. Thanks wavelets. Customers switching to our Amazon tariffs receive an email from our partners, Grassroots, within 30 days of signing up to this tariff. The email will have the Amazon code and instructions on what to do. If you haven't received the email after 30 days please check your spam folder.
Let me know if you still haven't received anything. If you drop an email to the address in my Profile with your account number and date of birth (for security) I'll be happy to take a look.
Thanks cardi11.

Thanks Malc. I tried to send you a private message but was prevented from doing so because your profile indicates that you do not accept private messages.
Since I posted my original comments on this thread i have received a telephone message from an e.on representative suggesting that the Amazon code will only be sent out when my current tariff ends (on or around 6th November 2018). I am hopeful that e.on will honour that suggestion and that I will receive the code at that time. It is somewhat confusing because the e.on web-site shows my account as already being the Amazon Prime account.
I'll wait until the 7th November and hope for better news at that time.0 -

Thanks for the extra information cardi11.
MSE don't allow company reps to use Private Messages. There's an email address in our Profiles you can use if you need us.
Did you do a forward switch to the Amazon tariff to kick in when your current tariff ends next month? If you did, the message you received would be right. The Amazon tariff will start at that time with the subsequent email being sent within 30 days of the tariff start date.
Hope this explains cardi11.
