I'm not sure that is the case. I think the original advice was to use Google. The more specific advice arrived later. Hopefully he has it now.

Also bear in mind that there is an immigration crackdown happening there at the mo. So one should carry a photocopy of passport picture page and stamp of how long you are allowed to stay at all times. Annoying, but less annoying than them taking you to the police station to verify your status. You won't be allowed to take them to your hotel to view your passport.

Go to the Branch finder (link on that page) and click on "Refine Branch Services" to only search for branches that do "International Driving Permits"

I am slap bang in the centre of Sheffield and the nearest five branches it brings up for me are 1 in Sheffield, 1 in Stockport, 1 in Halifax, 1 in Leeds and 1 in Nottingham :eek: so not many branches do it.

Sorry Bradders, I didnt use the 'sort' function which is why i assumed all PO done it Sorted now, I think. Paid an extra £4 with the AA website to renew it, so fingers crossed....

Thanks AlSto, yep i hadnt used the drop down menu to refine my search options, was in a hurry and missed it completely. Ended up ordering from the AA website who i used last year, and paying a £4 premium for 'spreedy checking' because Im so unorganised.
