Hi everyone, bright and sunny here now. Washing hung outside courtesy of DOH. DW emptied (by me), SR vacc'd and heating engineer has just finished servicing the gas boiler, no problems found:D

Visited Mother yesterday, no mention of going home to OH and me, but I gather she had muted the idea to Sis IL. Staff had fetched the hoist in and she was up, dressed and sitting out in a chair:D

I carried about 1 stone excess weight some years ago, but managed to shift it and stay within my WW goal weight for a long time, when I became really poorly about 3 years ago I was underweight and have struggled to gain and keep any on, but for last 6 months have settled with a BMI of 18.9. Having watched my DM indulge her sweet tooth whilst having Osteo Arthritis, get larger and larger and less and less mobile I am committed to keeping the treats as just that and my weight low, having Rheumatoid Arthritis generally as well as OA in my ankles makes me very aware of what might be to come:(:( I read recently (don't know if it is fact) that every 1 lb of excess weight exerts 4 lbs pressure on our joints:eek:

Hugs and spoons to all that need them, thinking of Holly and hoping that she can hold it all together, and that tomorrow goes well. Nanny and the rest of the gang, may I apply for honorary membership of the coven please?

Off to try and find a spoon or two, Knit N Natter this afternoon:D

    Morning all

Just wrote a long post and lost it .
Mr Fix It has gone to the funeral of an old work colleague and my head is just spinning today. I can't even remember what day it is, I thought yesterday was Monday!

I may pop back later when I've sorted myself out, which is a mammoth task in itself :rotfl:

I shall send everyone many hugs. Take care all.

silver-oldie - one of the perks of being retired .................... being able to pop for coffee and lunch out whenever the whim takes you - enjoy ;)

I think recent events have made me realise I need to live every day with DH, I don't know what the future holds. A neighbour said she doesn't think DH recognises her any more, dementia is so cruel.

Oh Hester lovey, hope CHS is OK. Look after him and yourself.

I'm presently sat by the pool having had a swim in an unheated outdoor pool. It was cold but the sun is warming me up!`

    Hester

Crossing my fingers for DH and for you. Hopefully the fact he got early treatment will make a great deal of difference and he recovers well.

I am sorry you have been feeling down and hope things improve soon.

I spent Monday and Tuesday doing day trips to dd to help with baby so she could get a few things done and maybe have a short nap if she wanted. Library phoned this morning to say they were fully staffed with volunteers this afternoon so I have been able to put my feet up and put on the washing machine and dishwasher and do a bit of tidying.

Youngest dd is coming tomorrow night to stay over so either tomorrow morning or tonight I want to cook a cottage pie with lots of veg and a potato, parsnip and swede mash topping.

Someone came round this morning to help me with some cleaning and very kindly helped me turn the mattress completely over rather than just swivel it . So pleased as I have been trying to get that done for two years. Bedding is now changed, room is hoovered and a bit of tidying is being done.

    Hugs to all
