    Morning everyone,

It’s overcast here at the moment but hopefully that will clear away soon, yesterday turned out to be a lovely day and very warm.
Not masses to do today, the bathrooms need a clean, snap Nelski and then will get over to see Lu, a little walk around the fields would be good and blow the cobwebs away.
Hope you have a better day today Dumpling
Thinking of Holly ahead of tomorrow.
Got me wondering about Snoozer’s news now....

Love to TA and any of our friends who are struggling, take care folks x

    Good morning all,

I think the clouds are clearing and I can see a patch of blue sky. I've nothing much on today, the DGC are coming after school. Instead of DS1 taking me to pick up DGS,DS2 is going as little 'un has started to complain that Daddy always picks up Dgranddaughter and not him and its not fair ( said in a grumpy 4 yr old voice ;).Its just because he is working on that side of town and seemed to make sense.

I'm making Thai chicken curry for tea but got some pork to stir fry for DS2 who doesnt eat chicken. I didnt get my kitchen cupboards sorted yesterday but did do the ironing.I have to confess I fell asleep in the afternoon- DH has been getting up an hour earlier this week as the plasterer is on the job now at work and he starts early- to avoid the traffic as he lives in the next town & pick his son up. Then my old neighbour rang and was on for half an hour, & we are meeting up in town on Friday.

Right I'd better get a move on and take Lylapup out for her walk but might wait until the secondary school kids have gone past. They seem an unruly lot at the moment, yesterday morning being bin day I had to pick up a dustbin (full) that they pushed over- luckily just the one.I have seen as many as 5! Then after school I saw a group laughing as they had nicked a builders wheelbarrow from further up the road . Dont know what they did with it as they have to cross the busy main road, def dodgy pushing that across ,
Hope you feel better today dumpling,

Love & light to everyone xx

  • Morning everyone and happy hump day,

Last night the weather wasn't dry enough to garden so I made my dinner, healthy coconut covered chicken bites with steamed asparagus and sweet chilli sauce. Followed by Xbox with a couple of my pals. Was in bed before 10 but didn't doze off until nearer 11.

Need to phone my mortgage provider today and tell them I'm looking to rent out my property as I believe it needs to change to a Buy-To-Let agreement. I hope it's fairly straight forward. Still looking at properties in and around Manchester on Rightmove and I'll go down and visit some with my mum next week I recon.

Tonights new recipe is crispy pork lettuce cups and then, if the weather is onside, I'll pop down to my mums and get rid of as much maires tail as possible.

Dumpling - Glad you're feeling a bit more like yourself today.
Organza - Whilst I'm on a health kick, cake (birthday cake to be specific) is my weakness. I'll take a slice!
Nelski - Sounds like you have a busy day ahead, good luck with it all.
    silver-oldie - Enjoy your day :)
Gers - Very organised and MSE of you. I would have probably lost or binned the receipt by now. Very impressed.

    Morning all
DH was up and early as he is off to Belgium for work he has started his meds as DD2 (nurse) had to go and see the diabetic nurse to get all the info for him and the meds I sent her as she is obviously medically minded:D he has an appointment with her next week she was not happy they had sat on the blood results and not called him in for 3 weeks even though they were marked up as urgent:mad:
Yesterday was a good day DD2 and I went ball gown shopping and in Debenhams the personal shopper saw us looking and said she was free so could help us DD2 chose a blue beaded gown out of about 10 choices it was one we would not have looked at usually she looked stunning its a peaky Blinders Ball so it should fit in.
Dumpling Hope you feel a bit better today your doing a great job teens are horrible and annoying and really dont get it mind you I wouldn't want to be one again.
Taff Thought you had been told to slow down not speed up x

Ruby Grr at autoglass your time isn't free they need to be paying some sort of compensation for their mistake

Hi everyone, it looks like being a beautiful dry autumn day here. I'm enjoying the vivid russet and red colours while they last.

After morning Scrabble yesterday I took something to a friend who made delicious soup for our lunch. Then I did some shopping for basics, including cat litter, I use the bags of crystal litter from B & M and was lucky to get the last four bags. Then posted two packages at the Post Office, in time for the van.

So all of that meant no swim yesterday, maybe this afternoon.

Well done for looking after yourself during your blue day, dumpling. A duvet day once in a while can really help.

Have the best day possible, folks. xxx
  • Morning..... ((((((((((hugs)))))))))) if you need one. I think its natural for Holly to be in a bit of a funk....she is facing an op, anyone would be concerned, however the fact that she has an underlying condition and they have taken her off one of her medications is bound to have an effect. I hope the staff at the hospital can reassure her.

Thoughts and prayers with her and also the TA's just now.

Well after the TV incedent I should have known, yesterday I went into the back bedroom for toasting bread which I keep in the freezer......everything was either completely defrosted or on its way.....aarrgghhh........ Fortunately our cleaner was here, she makes kam and chutney, so I was able to give her a lot of the fruit. I had to set to and cook off most of the rest. I held off ordering a new freezer.....this morning I went in to wipe out the bottom of water, flicked the switch and it started up again!! I can only think that when OH went in to get toasting bread on Monday he did not shut the door properly, the freezer unit developed a layer of ice, so stopped working...... I have cleaned it out and its on fast freeze, will see what happens. I can move some stuff from the kitchen freezer for the time being.

This is our last week with the carer for OH, he is now as well as he will ever be.....I know if I need to I can go back to the care people for help again.

No plans for today........apart from cooking supper and just at this moment in time I have no idea what it will be.

    Redruby, you're probably right!

Dumping, I'm glad you feel better today.

    Thinking of Holly and TA.

I hope any poorlies have a good day.

Our visitors have left so I can have some laptop time this morning. We are meant to be going into York but Steve is still asleep so I'm leaving him to it, York's not going anywhere.

We had some lovely meals out and the friends insisted on paying because they said that we are always putting them up and they never pay for anything, so that was nice of them. We had a good walk on Monday and then yesterday went up to Stainforth Falls to see the salmon leaping. We saw quite a few but none made the leap, the water was just running too strongly I think.

Good Morning chums, sun is out and reasonably bright t the moment I managed to whizz out to get my second food shop of the month today and spent less than £20 which was even better mainly fresh fruit and veg and a few bit I had run out of It's certainly making a difference by using up the freezer stuff and just buying the bits to go with things.Tonight's dinner will be stuffed peppers and salad and coconut yogurt and diced fresh fruit for pud.

Our team won another bottle of vino last night so there is enough in the stash for a bottle a piece share out now.

Coffee morning went well yesterday as well and I was talking to a lovely lady who has just joined and was feeling a bit shy, so I tucked her under my virtual wing and made sure she felt welcomed by the others .

Today I just have one more baby ball to knit then I will drop the dozen off at DDs for DGD to pick up tomorrow so a bit more cash to go in the holiday pot .only another four dozen o make :):):)

Right the shopping has been put away so its definitely time for a cuppa.

Hope you all have a good day and fingers crossed Holly stays put for her op.

    Cheers chums

Lovely day here in Gloucestershire, the Autumn colours are just gorgeous. I have just taken delivery of a beautiful bouquet from some dear friends of mine. They have been so supportive since my illness.
I went to the hospital yesterday and as my blood results are fine I have another cycle of treatment to take. I actually feel so much better, even have a bit of energy!
  • That's good news poppy

Organza_Lace I have only the one but he is very judgmental and of course knows everything.
I was jumping to conclusions and one of them jumped back
